how to reset ECU w/out disconnecting battery?

Timing is everything with this. I haven't tried it myself, but I did reset my ECU on my 03 Coupe and it took quite a few tries before I got it right. It should work, just gotta time everything perfectly.

Yeah its just something you gotta keep trying unfortunately. This took me about 4-5 try's before I got it on my old coupe but I assure you it does work, just takes a little practice. I'll see what I can doo about making a video maybe that will make things a lot easier if you can "see" the process and how to time it properly. There's nothing wrong with disconnecting the battery I just dislike having to reset my radio presets.

Well if you can't count slowly enough the stopwatch is your best bet. There's a 99% chance you doing one or more steps too fast, so use the stopwatch ONCE and as soon as you did you won't ever need it again.

Works for me each time. I have a clock in my garage- I normally just watch the clock as I am doing my steps. As long as yout timing is close, it should work.

Help!! I have tried it many times. I can get to the first ten second interval and the Service engine lit blinks after 8 seconds, I wait until 10 then release and within 1 second I am back on the throttle for another 10 seconds. After about 6 seconds the engine light stays on constant and nothing else happens. what am I doing wrong. I am using a stopwatch. How long do you wait before you reapply the throttle for the second 10 second time?

Immediately, release the gas then re-floor until the C.E.L. starts blinking fastER.
