Rear jack point is the bottom of the rear differential, and the two rear side rails for the jackstand placement (the same place you locate the OEM scissor jack). You can also put jackstands under your rear spring buckets too.

I used a bucket w/ gallon & quart stripes, not this one but this would work too, it's on walmart.com

Awesome thank you! Do you think you can provide a picture of the jack placement just so I'm 100% sure. Thanks again!

Here's a pic of where to put them, on the pinch weld area where you see the indents in the weld (they are a couple inches apart and you put the jack in-between those indents). These stands have a rubber adapter, you can also use those rubber inserts in a harbor freight jack and have the jack set like the last pic.

Here's that insert

What rubber adapters are in the first picture with the car jacked up? I have those harbor freight ones and they just tore apart basically after having the car jacked up a few times.

Not mine, looks to be rubber strips fabricated to fit around that jack point.
I just use a couple shop rags on top of those harbor freight rubber sleeves and it's worked out well, the rubber is still in good shape and no abrasions on the rocker panels.

Sorry for asking so many questions! Would you recommend dropping the pan and cleaning it out? I'm at 77k miles and don't think the car has ever had a drain and fill done to it. If so what did you use to clean out the pan?

Yes, pulling the pan is one of the real advantages of doing this yourself. Just a good wipe down w/ a lint free cloth and pull the magnets out and give them a good cleaning too.

Just bought 4 gallons of Maxlife ATF and getting ready to do the drain and fill. Anyone have a link to 2010 g37x coupe torque specs? Also did change the washer for the drain and fill plug? I change the washer when i change the oil and was wondering if its the same washer as the engine drain.

Was wondering what the transmission pan torque specs and drain and fill are. Thanks in advance!

From FSM under TM (Transaxle & Transmission) page 274.
Overflow plug = 12.4 nm or 9 ft/lb
Drain plug = 34 nm or 25 ft/lb
Mounting bolt (24 total) = 7.9 nm or 6 ft/lb

The AT drain washer is the same as engine oil plug but not the AT overflow plug (M8)
4 gallons ATF should be enough for 3x fill and drain plus transfer case.

Awesome thank you! For the AT overflow plug would I need a new washer?

I've also read on another forum that they swapped out and replaced the transmission pan bolts. But is that really necessary?

I reuse all the washer and bolts on my G37x without any issues, my only concern is the gasket but so far so good after putting everything together the car drive little smoother but not much notice any difference.

thats the filter housing. It's not user serviceable, so just leave it be

I just had something bad happen. the Torque wrench was completely wrong and it made me overtighten it and the bolt head snapped right off! I have no idea how to take out the bolt
