Yes. Thanks again. Your tip about putting the bottom on first and a bit of lube was the way to go.

I still had a bit of trouble pushing the top lip far enough over the brake pedal so I just sat in the seat and used my foot to firmly push it up and over. Locked right in there.

Ryne, do you think these are worthwhile alternative or cheap junk?

Nice find! From a first glance those look like a pretty good option. The only variables would be the quality and fit which would require someone to try them out.

FWIW - I took the plunge and bought a set.. These slip on and look damn near perfect. I haven't driven with them on for a long time but they sure are on their snug.

It's the middle of winter right now here in the NE and I drive my corolla daily to work etc. I'll take some pictures when I get a chance. FYI the brake pedal cover was a pain in the butt to get on - requires first removing the rubber pedal thats already on there (easy part) then sheer strength stretching the new one over the bare metal pedal - this probably would have been easier in warm weather. The accelerator pedal slipped over the existing OEM one no problem.

Now I just need to order the dead pedal and I am good to go!

This will allow you to pull back the carpet to see (6) pins held in place by metal clips. Using a combination of a flathead scerwdriver and pliers I was able to remove these with a little elbow grease. I decided to clean the carpet with carpet cleaner in the area while I had the chance.
Is this because the dead pedal is fastened to the carpet, and not the floorboard? Seems that way, since there are no exposed bolts or anything... but thought I'd ask for clarification.

Even with low miles, after 5 years I'm needing a new dead pedal.

Yes, the dead pedal is fastened to the carpet itself. It's definitely a bummer that they wear out so easily.

Ok... so I'm new here and to mods in general. Limited budget and I bought these because I thought they looked cool. Did I mess up? Will they go on well. Thanks in advance.

Ryan, or any one else. On the dead pedal anyone have two protective films to remove? First one is thick, covers the entire pedal. Question is, is there another one over the aluminum only. I got a bubble on mine, see attach pic. The first film has been removed. If there is a second, is it for permanent protection or to be removed also. If it's for protection guess I got a bad one. What y'all think? The bubble I question is in the upper left portion.

Update, guess the aluminum has a protective film over it. The one on the pedal I received had a bubble, discount infinity is going to replace it under warranty. On another note, 60 bucks for the brake pedal pad and foot rest, 44 for a used foot feed on eBay. Great interior refinement for the money.
