waste of money. those tpms from ebay are dead.

 

thats weird, has this been your personal experience?...most sellers on ebay sell them refurbished with new stems and a warranty period....I've ordered 3 sets for my g over the past 4-5 years...haven't gotten a dead one yet and none have died since...all three sets were about $45.00 per set

 

yes. last set i bought was DOA. the problem here is that most likely you will find it out after installing them. seller refunded me the money and partially covered installation costs but it's not worth the hassle.

 

I bought a set of wheels from a 2011 G37xs that were in storage for a year. I put it in my 2007 G35x and after driving for 15 mins it was still blinking. I stopped and let it idle and it turned solid after a min. My PSI should be 33 all around (it was 35 after driving for 10 mins).

Update: It seems I didn't sync the new sensors yet. And it seems 2011 sensors aren't compatible with 2007 Infiniti. Is that correct?

 

Yes this is correct, anything after March 2010 wont work with your 2007...otherwise this DIY works fine you don't need to do anything besides whats mentioned here (i.e. you don't have to do any additional synching)....you can get a full set of used/reconditioned oem sensors for your 2007 on ebay for about $45.00 btw

 

Resurrecting an old thread...
As an owner of 2011+ G37 with the TMPS light, I started with reading the first 10 pages of this thread, then under the dash I went, looking for the silly white plug, of course to no avail.
Feeling a bit inadequate, kept on reading this loooonng thread. Bingo, little bits of 2011+ owners posting about running into similar issues brought a bit of confidence back, I'm not that blind after all...
Well, I ran into a YouTube video that may help you if you are also in the 2011+ G37 club. It turns out, (my apologies if this was mentioned in a previous post but I didn't see this in my skimming through the 29 pages of posts), WE have a TPMS module behind the glove box that could be the culprit. The YouTube video below shows how to get to it. I was able to get to it but since I wasn't able order a new module (the YT poster didn't provide a part #, just mentioned that he got on eBay), he made it sound like it wasn't that pricey.
Nonetheless, 2011+ STOP LOOKING FOR THE PLUG! Watch the video below instead...
I'm going to start my search for the part # for the "TPMS Module", once I find the part #, I will post a follow up.

 

I have a 2008 g37s coupe that I've been behind the glove box of about 700 trillion times while trying to track down a cabin leak (which turned out to be the sunroof drain plugs at the firewall requiring an entire dash removal - if you're getting water in the cabin under the carpets THESE ARE THE CULPRIT) and I can confirm that we have this module in the same location. So I'd say it's safe to say that everyone should check this module while troubleshooting tpms issues, not just 2011+ (unless the thing I'm seeing behind the glove box is a different module altogether in the 08 model cars).

 

Amazing, a guy who actually knows about the Nissan TPMS! Also, that this thread has run for several years.

So, just to rekindle it at this late date, I've got a similar but different problem with my TPMS. After 35 minutes of highway driving (you can set your watch by it!), the light comes on solid. Stop the vehicle, turn the key off and on, and the process repeats itself, coming on again in 35 minutes.

Okay, so you're going to tell me to check tire pressures, maybe follow the reset procedures discussed in this thread. But here's the deal. I bought winter tires, and had them mounted on standard steel wheels; no TPMS sensors installed. One might think the light would come on right away, not finding any sensors, right? Wrong! The light does just what it did before, stays off around town and comes on after 36 minutes of highway driving.

I suspect the cause is the TPMS module itself. Is there any way to reset/reprogram it to keep the light off? Or am I resigned to putting a small piece of black electrical tape over the light?

For me it sometimes works to disconnect the TPMS box above the glove compartment
