Thanks a bunch.
This is how I proceeded.
- Drove 10min to warm up the tires. Then set the tire pressure to the followings:
Driver front - 34
Passenger front - 31
Passenger rear - 29
Driver rear - 26
- Started the engine, then quickly tap the TPMS interface to the cigarette lighter wall (with a long wire) 6 times really quick. TPMS light started blinking.
- Drove for less than 10 min, averaging 35-50mph. Light turned off.
- Pulled over to an empty parking lot and filled the tires above 33psi and no more TPMS light on dash. Awesome thread!

Would the tire pressure settings be the same for a convertible (34, 31, 29, 26)? Our Recommended PSI is 39 which I believe is higher than the coupe and sedan.

I've tried to reset the TPMS multiple times but to no avail.

If the recommended PSI is 39, I would try 40, 37, 35, 32. Could also be possible that one or more of your sensor are bad.

Solid tpms light #fix

I was also one of the ones to try this that got a solid TPMS light after it was done with the learning mode. . Mine took about 10 miles of about 55 MPH before it read the sensors. . BUT the light never went off after it quit blinking. It stayed solid. . After reading 25 pages of this forum and no luck I went to Discount Tire because they check the sensors for FREE. One of my sensors was BAD. . I had them replace the BAD sensor. $65 later no more TPMS light! . ***** yeah!!!!!!

So after you do the learning process, if the blinking light goes solid and doesn't go off, you have a BAD SENSOR.

Thanks for this great thread and every ones input.

This will also happen if you don't have the proper PSI in the tires.

Thank you for the post! Worked great for me on 08 G37S 6MT once modifying the procedure to enter learning mode with the engine running.

Notes if anyone is interested:
Set the tire pressure per Modme's OP; start the engine; ground the white wire six times and see the TPMS light go from solid to blinking about once a second; drive (for me it was 25 - 45 MPH and light went out after about 5 minutes); a few minutes later light went on solid, and I drove home and refilled the tires with the engine running. (hot day warm tires, so I used 39 PSI). Within 2 minutes of driving at 30 MPH the light went back out.

P.S. My TPMS light came on do to either:

1.) A blown fuse (connector to radar detector got a short, which I had wired into the HomeLink / Auto-Dim Mirror. Bad things happen when this fuse blows while driving as some of the BCM functions are on it like HVAC controls, Power Windows and Trunk Release.)
2.) Battery remaining disconnected for a week until I had time to debug the problem.

This is weird to me (something to look forward to one day ).

On my 2012 Maxima that I just traded in for a G37, once you filled the tire to the proper pressure, and drive on it for a few minutes, the warning went away. Are we talking about the same thing here, or is this a different kind of fault? If my tire pressure drops below a threashold and the light comes on...does that mean I have to go to the dealer and spend $$$ or do all this instead?

Also worth noting, the Maxima shows the actual tire pressure for each of the 4 tires. Perhaps this is the same system used by the Infiniti M-series?

Any update for 2011+ models that this works? Can new sensors be programmed with the pressures set correctly per the required specs?

I'm losing my mind over this. After struggling for a good 15minutes trying to get the car in learning mode I finally perfected the technique. I can get the car in learning more in less than 30 seconds. However, I can not get the tpms light to go away. The tires are set to the exact psi listed in the first post. (confirmed by 3 different gauges) but when I drive away with the tpms light flashing for a good 5 minutes. I'm always greeted by the loud beep and a solid tpms light. I must've tried about 10 times because I've spent an hour and a half trying to fix it.

Can somebody please offer me some advice before I chuck the car to the stealership?

Thanks.

The hidden tpms plug

I have searched and searched over and over but cannot find the TPMS plug on my 2008 G37 coupe. Could it be somewhere other than under the dash?
