Simonise(sp?) leaving foggy look
Well... when I was taking the "G37" decals off my car, I used simonise(the stuff that is used to remove small scratch stains and stuff), and after, a foggy imprint was left where I rubbed the simonise. My dad has used the same stuff on his car and it left the foggy stuff, but it went away after time(I think). Will this foggy look go away if I just leave it?
Sadly, I'm not by my car and can't get a picture at the moment, but I will soon.

And, all i did was use floss the get the badges off, and than got the glue off pretty easily by rubbing it, and using the simonise. All i did was put some on a clean cloth(and a car-friendly cloth), and carefully wiped. My dad used the same method on his car, and the same foggy stuff came up, but now I haven't noticed the fog on his car, so i'm hoping it will just go away after time on my car, like it did on his.
you might wanna use some sort of clear coat cleaner and see if that fog will come off...or else if you want it off a quicker way, clay bar (that's if it's only a surface stain and not actually caked into ur clear coat) or cut/polish...

It says a clay bar is similar to a heavy rubbing compound... The simonise stuff I used is called a heavy rubbing compound, and that is what put it there in the first place.....
EDIT: I looked at the stuff I used, and its not called simonise, its just called Heavy Rubbing Compound(my dad just calls it simonise).
But that rubbing compound is what put the foggy look there in the first place....

You should research before you put anything on your car. A rubbing compound is basically a very fine non-solid sand paper.
I would guess you will need to actually polish it now to remove that, but one of the more experienced members here can point you in the right direction.
Not sure how your dad's went away, unless the clearcoat "healed" itself.

My dad told me to use it. And I was recommended to be used for what I did.
Its not like I blindly did it. U used it for what it should be used for.
If the foggy stain doesn't go away soon, ill take it somewhere to be fixed.

For the rest of the stuff that you plan to take off:
1. hairdryer to heat up the glue (dont stay in 1 spot too long)
2. fishing line or dental floss to unstick the badging
3. goo gone to remove the leftover glue
4. scratch-x 2.0 for the little scratches you probably put in the car, and then wax.
I did it for the entire trunk lid of my car, and it came out just fine.
for the problem of the hazing, foggy look..is there scratches?

Its actually coming off after time, little by little. And, i'm gonna go out and get some goo gone this weekend.
And, for the rest of the stuff, my dad is taking me and my car when he gets his MBZ done, since he needs work on it too.
