No this doesn't get cut. It's a direct swap out of the original exhaust. Unbolt and bolt back up

I just installed the sports muffler on my Q60 Coupe. The exhaust tips was sticking out by 1.5"!
So I had the guy cut off about 1". It looked great while the car was raised. But once lowered, the exhaust tips STILL stick out too far. By 1". I'm now thinking I might take it back to have about another 1" cut off.
As for the exhaust sound. I was hoping to get the same G35 exhaust note. But it does not sound like that at all. NO WHERE NEAR IT.
It now has a RASP to it which I don't like. So I might just go back to stock....

I will note that they do make this exhaust for the coupe as well as the convertible. They have different part numbers. I don't know the exact difference between the two, but I would image it's the length since they have the different rear bumper covers. I would cross reference your part number online.
No, mine is not modified at all.

This is what it looks like w/o the cut. More than an inch out.

The sound did change. Not as much rasping at 2.5-3k.
But I didn't like the way it look still so I removed it. Wasted so much money.
My next attempt will probably be wasting money on the Q50 Sport exhaust. The tips aren't huge on those.
