Thumbs down 09 G37s MT Nav/Prem/Sport 33K Mil for 33.9k asking

Hello everyone,
This is my first post in this forum and I am a prospective G37s buyer. I've been looking for a black or blue G37s in the Bay Area CA and only came up with one but got sold just two days ago.

Here is the link to the car.
Pre-Owned Car Inventory - Infiniti G35, FX35, Q45 - Sacramento Infiniti - Proudly serving the cities of Roseville, CA, Sacramento, Folsom, San Francisco, and Stockton, CA.

I found one in Sacramento for 33.9 Asking price, how much can I lower the price to? I want to be sure I can lower it down to a reasonable price before I commit to making a 2 hour drive.

And a second question, is the navigation worth it? If not there are a couple of more black or blue G37s from Carsmith Motors in Fremont for a bit cheaper.

Much thanks in advance for any replies

That is a high price for a 2009 with 33k miles. I wouldn't it to be worth more than 28 or so. Especially in California where you trip on those things all day long.

My 2008 was 33 in Jan 2010 and it only had 10k! It was also the only available 6MT G37 within 250 miles...

Regarding nav, it's really nice to have, but I haven't used it all that much. The backup camera on the other hand...Awesome. Same with the HD to rip CDs to. I use those two things a lot, and you only get them with the nav package.

navigation is totally worth it. Will never buy another car without navi ever!! Don't forget only with navigation the car will come with backup camera. Most useful feature of the car yet!

Btw what options/packages does this car have? I looked at the options tab and it seems like they checked everything? Including all the different colors of the G37? lol..

6MT, Premium, Navigation, 4WAS, Technology, Rear spoiler, Illuminated side sills

I can't speak for the '09 since I know there were some changes but I've got the factory backup cam in my '10 and I've only got premium. As for the price, 33.9 is really high for that many miles. I'd pass on that one. IMO, that's not worth any more than 28, maybe 29. I think you can do better if you keep looking around. Hope that helps and welcome to the forums!

Hmmm It's just the asking price, how much do you think the dealer will let it go for? I was thinking of offering 28K and see their counter offer. The problem is the distance, since the drive to Sacramento from San Jose takes a little over 2 hours

The car has Nav/Prem/Sport. I agree about the high mileage. I don't get why the dealer put the rest of the options there, probably an error in entering the options?

What's worse is that right now, I got a bind since my old car (beater) is dead and I'm borrowing a car before I get a new vehicle.

Should I get a second vehicle and wait for a better deal? There are a lot of slim pickings here in the Bay area, since I want only a black or blue fully loaded G37 and Manual (though this will be my first manual car).

Thanks for your replies!

I'd originally advise taking a step back and looking at your options. Seeing that you're in a rental though...changes up things. Honestly speaking, that's most definitely too high. I don't think my '10 is even $33.9 kbb (I have 37k miles on mine though...lots of driving). You could always considering traveling across state if worse comes to worst? Navigation is indeed useful, but in all honesty...I barely use mine. The backup camera's nice though

How bout a coupe...?

About two months ago I got a 2008 G37S 6mt, with the premium package. I paid 27 for it with about 35,000 miles on it. Sure I probably could have taken them down a little more, but they gave me more for my trade in than I paid for it and that comes off of my taxes, so I didn't haggle much with them. It helped that the car was in great condition.

I think 34 is too much, but I'll drive way more than 2 hours for the vehicle I want. Made a 10 hour drive to pick one up one time. That was a long day.

Navigation is great. I don't use it often, but when I do, I use it alot. Ok, that made sense in my head. I do a lot of driving for work, and because I like to go places. When I'm not at home, I use it often to find places to eat, gas stations, lodging, entertainment... I've had vehicles with navi and without. I'll never have another one without.

Have you ever thought about finding an old POS in the newspaper for like $1500 and just paying cash until you find what you're looking for, then trade in the POS on it. Some places will give you 1500 as a minimum on a trade in, so you'd be out nothing. That way you'd have time to find exactly what you want at a fair price. Pay 1500 now to save 3000 later? Might work well for you.

Since the dealer is asking for the price, I can always put an offer for 28 for the car and see where he stands?

If he doesn't go under 30, walk away and get a beater and then get a car in a month or two when 2009s will start pouring in. How does that sound?

I definitely want the navi package, I was just not too sure about it after the car I was going after got sold and seeing many Sports no Navi G37s there are in the market.

Wait a month, you might not be able to find a non-navi G37 then. Used cars are like that. They fluctuate daily. In fact, if you just keep looking every day, the one you want might just pop up tomorrow morning.

I have one for sale. It is athens blue with stone interior. 6MT with nav and technology package (every package possible). 22k miles on it. Super clean fresh trade in. It is also a CPO (certified pre own) Asking is 32k. I can negotiate on it some but would do that through PM.

I am also in san jose so you wouldn't have far to go
