WTB 2011-2012 G37s or G37x sedan

Hey guys,

I'm looking at getting either a G37s or G37x sedan (or possibly just a G37) from either 2011 or 2012. I've found one 2011 G37s with MT that looks nice but has about 75k on the odometer. Coming from a '98 Maxima that is about where I replaced the clutch on it so I'm concerned about how much longer that clutch will hold out. Also, it looks like that is likely a $1500-$2000 job, right?

Any reason to go for 2012 over 2011 in those models?

Thanks! Can't wait for my first car purchase in almost 18 years!

Yes go with the 2012 and up

2 reasons
1- 7at transmission already has the update
2- "leaky gasket fix" now its metal.

As my honest opinion if I could go back over and do it all over again I would prob go with the s in 6mt. I'll be trying one last thing before I just have to live with how the 7at shifts. Plus s comes with some great options and is like give or take 200lbs lighter.

I do love the awd, however wish they offered it in a 6mt.
Usually you can get the x for cheaper less miles but that's because it doesn't have the options the s does. No bbk, upgraded suspension, ect.

G 37 Convertible

I have a 2010 G 37S convertible, bought it new and have 32,000 miles on it. Runs like a charm and I still love it after all these years. No problems other than I just had two deteriorating rubber bumper issues. I have solved them with inexpensive replacement parts. (See my other posts). I replaced one set for $4.00 and another for $6.00. I have also recently replaced the Break Pedal rubber stopper for $3.50 from ebay. (small piece broke under pedal that kept the break lights on, it was simple to snap the new one back in). I love the throaty sound of the engine and taking the top down is great. It's quick and has a great sports car feeling. Just look over the rubber deterioration issues on whatever you buy.
Good luck
