Amazing progress, looks like you know what you're doing. I have to add you're modding quite quickly which makes sense coming from the audi scene already on coilovers (more affordable moddifications)
Unsure what your goal is but I suspect you'll be running out of things to do soon. Maybe something to try in the future is 370z shocks and springs. It provides the comfort of stock bound/rebound with added drop due to shorter bodies. I suspect you'll be back to coilovers
The mod bug is serious on these cars and the looks when done right are unparalleled.

Got too much stuff to store, unfortunately, and it's a small garage.

 

Installed paddle shifters.
I was on the fence about spending money to do this but a member had a pristine set so I jumped on it.
Unfortunately finding the correct steering column shroud proved to be quite a project.
Ultimately, after trying fruitlessly to determine which part number was correct and after the dealer shipping me 4 separate units to try, Austin Infiniti ended up ordering it from Japan.
They were amazing to work with. They could not determine the correct part number either so they shipped me a handful free of charge to try.
The problem is finding the unit, in black, that has the mechanical adjustment and the paddle slots.
The part numbering is vague on Infiniti sites.
Ive got spare shrouds I should list on the classifieds.

Been a while.
Ive used cheap drilled and slotted rotors for a few years now.
Powerstop & R1.
Honestly they are both crap in my opinion.
They last a couple years tops before they start warping.
I drive this car very little and lightly.
So, I pulled the trigger on some Z1 2 pc rotors.
Front and back on sale for about $1300.
Pretty good deal for 2 pc rotors.
Let see how these hold up.
They are even thinner than the cheapies ive been using

Love those 19" Coupe Sport Wheels. I've have never seen a set in that good of shape.

Love the color, but my opinion is of course subjective :-)

 

Yeah the sport wheels are a perfect fit design wise.
These 2 pc rotors so far are perfect. Buttery smooth and super responsive stopping.
Significantly different, better, than the cheap drilled and slotted on the market.

 

I have run StopTech (Centric) drilled and slotted for 4 years or so now. Even turned them once. They work well with the EBC Redstuff pads.

 

Do you get any noise from them?
Ive tried stoptech, R1, ive turned both down at least once, ive hand finished, deburred, and no matter what i did i could not get rid of the slight buzzing/vibrating type of noise from them.
And it would get worse over time.

The Zinc coating on the ST 227 series standard (Cast iron) rotor only breaks down under harsh conditions (i.e. salt, winter) and held up fine here in CA; back in 2021, these Rotors started their life as Centric 120 (121) blanks and I'm not sure what they use anymore since most online vendors like Buybrakes no longer recommend anything Centric.

The next step up back then was the 127 series high carbon rotor, but the cost was over 2x vs. the 227 series and multiple folks in the aftermarket world told me that the performance is roughly the same, but that the longevity increases and the hat is painted for better visual appeal. Those were don't cares for me as I like the OEM+ look vs Car Show ready.

I ran these with the centric 3xx series street performance pads for roughly 4 years and when I replaced the pads, they had at least another year left in them based on my 5-6K miles a year driving habits.

Nonetheless, I wanted to replace the pads this year (late summer) because I has a slight vibration in I believe one of the rear rotors (felt in the steering wheel) and I wanted to try different pads since Centric has all but went out of business at this point as a result of their various rebranding and consolidation efforts.

I turned the rotors and replaced the pads. Vibration is gone and the Redstuff pads bite like a pissed off coyote. I like the look of the rotors better without the shiny swirl-perfect crosshatched look with protective coating on on the surface as they look more OEM+ now.

Warning. The bedding material EBC uses is nasty and makes the car/wheels filthy the first couple hundred miles, but after that, limited dust (but still more than the old Centric pads).

Web is full of reviews and people talking about Redstuff pads are not for track days, and I'm fine with that as the tradeoff with track pads is massive dust, which I prefer to avoid.
