Help with Steering column cover part number

I'm thoroughly confused
called multiple infiniti parts suppliers and they cannot sort out what I need
Simply
I am adding paddle shifters to a 2015 Q40
Exact same car as 2013 g37 sedan non sport

I need
Steering column cover... Mechanical type.. With paddle holes

The part number listed for this includes 4 different configurations that i have no way of specifying the one I need

48470 jk61a

I now have 2 column covers that don't work
One has the paddles but it's for motorized type column
The other has no paddle holes but does fit my mechanical type column

I can't use my vin because the q40 never had a paddle shifters option

Please help!

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The last 5 digits of Nissan's part numbering system refer to the car(s) that the part is intended for. The "C" is likely just another classification code- or version' of that part. Typically, the last 2 digits of the part number would determine differences between the same part (ie. color, trim, material, etc.).

Based on the vehicle specs (sedan, mechanical w/paddle) and the sample image this is the part you seek. However, I would shoot discountinfinitiparts.com a email and see what they come back with. I do not know offhand if Sid is still there, but typically they can find those elusive parts.

VERIFY BEFORE YOU BUY!

Appreciate the input
seems the C is just as arbitrary as the A as far as I can tell
while I am sure there is meaning to it.. I've not seen or heard what it could be
Ive got the infiniti folks on it
I'll report back what I find for the record

Unfortunately, a lot of time went by and I never took photos of the column cover that worked. Went through 4 different ones and finally received the proper one ordered from Japan.
Seems this part is not very easy to find.

For my Q40, Black Interior, Mechanical Tilt, w/ Paddle Shifter Holes
the part number is 48470-JK60A

The photos below come from this website.

Thank you!!! I have been looking like a mad man all day through part numbers. In my service department trying to figure out which one would be the right fit. Saved me ordering the wrong part.

I am 90% certain this is correct. But the part number system is wonky for these column shrouds. Good luck!

How do you get the cover off without taking the steering wheel off? I couldn't figure it out. I need to get to the horn wire. Or if anyone knows if the horn wire is at the bcm that will do too.

The horn wire comes directly from the IPDM/er under the hood, not the BCM
The lower shroud takes some finagling but it will come off without having to remove the wheel. Once the upper is released, you will have to pull down while "rotating" the lower shroud just enough so that the "lip" on the shroud clears the trim piece on the steering wheel:

You could probably use a trim tool and pry the two pieces apart. It is not easy but it is not overly difficult either. Just do not go ape and crack the piece. There is a video in this post showing that it can be done but doesn't really show how it is done.

Depending on what you are trying to do, you might be able to locate/ isolate the horn wire from under the dash- where the steering column harness branches off from the main.

i need it because my remote start doesn't operate the horn when the alarm goes off. The head/tail lights just flash. I've read it's the light blue wire at the gray connector. I couldn't see it when I took off the big dash piece under the steering wheel. The one that contains the traction control and sonar button.

You wouldn't happen to have any pics would you? This is what I was looking for but I couldn't find it from underneath with taking the trim off.
