I haven't had the chance to run my person HBP y pipe yet, but the car in the picture ordered 1 for himself after the test fitting to pair with his SOHO dual ehaust. He show'ed me pictures of the install and said the resonated y pipe made the SOHO ehxuast sound deeper and eliminated the metallic sound it originally had with the ISR y pipe.
I have the single exit resonated soho exhaust with resonated Fast intention test pipes. It’s loud for a dd. Hopefully the HBP y pipe will get rid of the 3k rasp/ hissing sound maybe quite it down some. Maybe deeper sound as you said

It'll help with the tone, volume wise, it might still be loud, but the deeper tone may make it more tolerable. I currently have a single exit also, resonated, 3.5". I will have z1 headers with art pipes together with it once i get my engine back in.

keep up witt the build. Allways something to work on
Installed my Z1 Motorsports brake master cylinder brace. Definitely a pain to get the bolts threaded. Some people can't get the middle bolt in and only use 2 bolts, but I managed all 3.
Found some black interior pieces at the junk yard a few weeks back. This completes the rear; upper and lower back seats, door panels, trim pieces. I only need the carpet, front seats, and dash how installed the manual pilot bushing after having the auto pilot bushing out. oem dual mass flywheel at 30.4 lbs Z Speed aluminum flywheel at 12.2 lbs oem clutch dish and pressure plate at 17.8 lbs Z Speed EZ Street Stage 2 pressure plate and quiet-disk at 17.2 lbs upgraded heavy duty flywheel bolts
Its been a while since I've done anything with the G.
I finally have the engine in the bay.
Still need to do the following:
-torque all the bolts
-fill fluids (coolant, engine oil, transmission fluid)
-install driveshaft
-install RJM clutch pedal
-install tilton clutch master cylinder
-install flex fuel kit
-install exhaust (had some problems with lining up the Motordyne ART pipes to the y pipe and so I had to order some Circuit Werks test pipes with the flex sections to allow me enough movement to bolt to the y pipe)
I am planning to get my retune with Eugene this time around.
Also in the process of swapping out the interior from tan to black. I'm missing a driver front seat, carpet, and dash.
Car looks to be well sorted. Any reason why you didn't upgrade to longtube headers since you have a max effort N/A setup?
Thanks Rob, as much as I am trying to max out NA mods, the difference between getting PPE headers and Z1 headers came down to two factors for me; sound and potential future mods.
I knew I wanted to keep a rasp free exhaust sound and opted for short tube headers. I also wanted to be able to go boost (turbo or supercharge) and keep as many things as I could. The potential kit would be a SOHO 2.5 stage turbo kit (able to use z1 headers) or any of the available susperchager charger kits (SOHO or TopGun mainly)
Its been a long minute since I"ve done any updates.
Engine is completely in the bay and everything buttoned up; wiring, hoses, fluids.
I'm having an issue of not being able to get into gear when the car is on, i'm thinking its because i didn't bleed the system very well since I did the Tilton clutch master cylinder, RJM pedal, Z Speed CMAK and stage 2 clutch kit.
My tail lights finally arrive from Japan. Its a modified set of the JDM tail lights.
Did some wheel test fits with a set of Work CR2P. Imust say that I do like the color combo on the white.
My bumper looks like that because it only held on by the clips at the top. I'm still working on my engine.
This picture is 18x9 +10 235/40 sqaure. This set fit a lot better in the back. I am sure a nice 255 square tire set would look great.
This picture has 18x9 +10 235/40 fronts and 18x10 +10 265/35 rears The 10" +10 rears are defintely too aggressive but with enough cambe rit can work, for those who like the stance look. A narrow tire would be needed also.
Glad you went with hiding the wires, it makes the white in the shock towers pop significantly. If your suspension permits maybe look into the caps for the strut towers.
Unsure what you did with power and ground cables but both main power wires can be finessed into a hidden location. As for grounds, I recycled the main one in the timing cover and bolted it to the lower bolts in the lower timing cover and used another on the A/C bolts.
Lastly if you're up for it and the VTC wiring gets to you, you can de-pin the connectors and snake the wiring behind the timing cover and have them come out the hole of the upper radiator neck/tube.
Can't wait to see this bay. I got rid of the chime horn and got the relays by the driver side out of that box and taped it to the harness out of the way.
