My younger brother who lives back in NJ snapped me a picture of my new Z1 Slotted Rotors which were included as part of my Akebono BBK upgrade. I can't wait to install the new brakes in March.
In the past week, I've purchased brand new Akebono calipers, Z1 slotted rotors, Hawk HPS 5.0 pads, Z1 SS brake lines, Motul RBF-600 fluid, Stance XR1 (true type) coilovers w/Swift springs 13/8k, SPL rear toe and camber arms. Currently trying to decide on whether I want to spend ~$700 for the SPL FUCA or just get the ~$400 SPC 73005(improved design) FUCA...

Those SPC newer control arms seem to be getting good reviews, either would be a nice upgrade from the base SPCs. Stay safe out there and looks like you're going to have a lot on your plate come March

Where have you seen reviews about those SPC arms? I haven't really been about to find any.

Are those the Z1 two-piece rotors? I thought these were those:

The idea of losing 10 pounds on each corner makes for an appealing upgrade argument.

Let me know what you guys think

I like it! What is the cost for that and is there a core charge?

No, those are the 1-piece slotted rotors from Z1. Losing 10lbs in each corner would most definitely be an upgrade, especially with my X sedan. The 2-piece rotors would put my BBK upgrade into the $2,000+ range, rather than the ~$1500 I paid(which is honestly a steal for what I got). Maybe sometime in 2018 when its time for me to do some brake upgrades, I'll go for some DBA 2-piece rotors. I had the option between the OEM blanks or Z1 slotted, so I just opted for these at no extra cost.

The wheel costs $595 shipped from RedlineGoods with NO core charge. You get to pick between custom leather/alcantara, stitching, side bolsters/reshaping, extra padding, thumb grips and a true flat-bottom.
PM if you want more info.

JDM tail lights arrived in the mail today!! They have some light scratches, but they'll need some TLC. Anybody ever polish tail lights?

Also grabbed an OEM 18" G37S spare tire today for when I do my Akebono upgrade. Paid $105 shipped

Nice score! You could lightly wet sand w/ 1200 grit to remove the gloss, then shoot some industrial grade clear coat over them, let that fully cure, then again w/ the light wet sanding w/ 2000 grit followed by a full polish w/ Ultimate compound, it will be a glass finish then.

I wouldn't jump the gun just yet Brad on removing the clear. If there isn't deterioration of the clear coat, I would use a DA polisher with a 3'' backing plate and use Meguiar's Plastix to remove the light scratches. I have gotten swirls out of my tail lights using that exact method.

I'll be able to show off all of these new upgrades with my new Canon EOS 80D DSLR. Gonna be nice to throw in quality pictures of my progress.
