The chrome in the headlight housing has a slight gunmetal shade, vs. the regular bright chrome on the non sport sets.
This is true. The only way you will ever notice this is if you have the headlights side-by-side. Seriously, that is the only way. It's so subtle, it's freaking stupid that Infiniti even bothered.
Cusco strut bar arrived along with my new(to me) engine cover.
Going to wait until the FSTB is powdercoated (black bar, black brackets) to install it. Still waiting on my black nickel R2C intakes, but they're on backorder, so I'll have them around 2 weeks from now. Engine bay is gonna start looking decent!
Ahhhhhh snap I see you pulled the trigger on the cusco we were PM'ing about! Very nice bro and I can't wait to see the final result!
Yeah man! Even went with the R2C intakes. The 2010+ sport bumper conversion was supposed to be my last upgrade of 2016, but I said f*** it and went for the Cusco, R2C and new engine cover.
Are you going to paint the engine cover at all? Or did you just want a cleaner looking one?
I eventually plan on painting it, just have no idea what color I'd do it. The reason i bought a new one was because I messed up my original cover trying to paint it.

Z. might give this thread a look, OP will PM you the details, looks pretty badas$ IMO
Look forward to seeing that new intake & bumper, going to look hot!
Thanks for the heads up, definitely looks interesting. Appreciate the kind words Brad! Figured since I won't see her for 6 months, might as well enjoy her while I can.
Nice job Z, it's hard to keep your foot out of it now, you mpg will plummet for a while, but that grin is worth it.
Yeahhhh, I kinda noticed that haha. Right after I installed them, I was driving around the neighborhood and I was pretty disappointed. The moment I got onto an open road and went WOT, my jaw dropped. The car sounds insane, I love hearing the VQ growl, more satisfying than exhaust IMO. Also met up with Mike(MIK3G37S) today since I'm home in NJ before I deploy, we've become pretty good friends and we dropped my Cusco FSTB off at a local powdercoater!
Nice to have fellow Gs nearby, and not many better than Mike's. That intake growl is addicting, and like you said, the beast really wakes up over 3k wide open.
Both Gs looking good up there^^^
