Red's build thread
You should measure the length of your rear OEMs, be interesting to see what differences there are there. I know spring rates will vary but at least you might know what you're up against.

I was giving this some more thought and possibly you could use just the OEM rear springs from another model to get a mild drop back there. I'm sure someone would have a rear set of coupe springs they'd let you try. I have some sedan OEMs I could ship your way if no one nearby could lend a hand.

There simply has to be someone in the Vert forum who's tried lowering their Vert's rear with Coupe springs.
I also have OEM sedan springs taking up space in my attic. I bet a lot of us do.

Thanks a bunch for the offers and helpful opinion fellas. You know I appreciate it.
I must admit the rear drop is growing on me. I wish I could bring either the fronts down a quarter inch or the rears up a quarter to a half inch. But we will have to wait until I get paid for the alignment to tell us anything.
But she's running very well now. Feels great to drive her semi-fast again!!! I just completed the most exciting drive I've had in months!! Felt great as I'm sure you are all familiar with it!!
Wonderful way to start the morning. Top down with fabulous weather. Car sounding like a beast and running better than I remember. Turning much tighter and actually feeling like a better ride quality possibly due to the swifts! Sweet.

Great looking vert shots Reddi, that last one is badas$ but needs to better resolution to really shine
I bet you could use that spacer mod in the back as long as you stick to the smaller one as per this thread

Afterwards I'm going to let it stay as is for at least a month. Then I may try the saggy bum fix. Thanks.
Racecar. While your vert is a different car, and you've different weight and tires... what I immediately found with aftermarket sways is the car no longer understeers. You can sail through corners just with engine-braking and steering your way through it, using the throttle to power out of the turn while flirting with oversteer as you shoot out.
If you really want to see what the car can do, turn off traction control. If that's not something you've done before, you might be in for a surprise. The car can be quite the beast.
Then again, your Vert doesn't have a limited slip diff, so all that weight might make it squirrelly throwing it around low-speed turns. Certainly the large sweeping turns are to your liking now. I suspect those on/off ramps that you used to max out at 30-40 mph are now something you can do at 40-50 mph.
Almost exactly four years ago, a friend of mine loaned me his 2010 Vert 6MT for a few days, just because he was a nice guy who rarely drove the car, and I was strongly considering buying a G37. I very clearly remember feeling the weight of that car as I tried to power around at low speeds. It was a little disconcerting. However, it was also surprisingly responsive, likely due to those short diff gears they put in the Vert 6MT... which are surely that way because of the weight.
I was never going to buy a Vert, but driving the car for a few days helped me choose between the Coupe and the Sedan. Just for yuks, here's an old video I took from way back then, with my then-11 year old operating the top:

John I live in a subdivision on the 18th hole of a golf course (I'm not bragging I swear, it goes with my point I'm about to make). Anyway the golf course fancies itself as one of those really highfalutin snobby pretentious places so they don't take kindly to high speed driving inside the subdivision walls. But they used a series of roundabouts and sharp curves to allow anyone driving thru great vantage points of most of the greens and water features.
So basically if your able to swing into the subdivision at night when there isn't anyone else on the road your in for a real treat...driving wise. I generally take these curves around 35mph with a little bit of stress involved. Last night on my way out I took these curves at 50mph (FYI they are all one way streets so nobody get their panties in a bunch) without even trying! I'm still getting accustomed to how the car drives with the sways and the springs so I can't truly test the limits yet. If I had to guess I'd say I could easily take the route at 60 maybe even faster. When I say 60 I'm talking about fairly acute curves. It's sexy as hell.
Btw I also enjoyed the clip of your daughter lowering the top

It's no illusion. Supposably the alignment I have scheduled for the 1st will help a tiny bit. But I have some plans for it in case it doesn't. Blnewt shared a "saggy bum" fix from the G35 driver forum. Also my mechanic friend thinks he can add spacers in somewhere and help fix the problem. I haven't had him clarify on that idea yet, but he's usually pretty solid.
So we will see what happens after alignment. Then I'll try to get used to it or decide to fix it. Time will tell.

Okay, I wasn't sure. I know on the sedan it can be perfectly level and just look like the rear is a bit droopy. Looking at mine it looks that way a little now that I've brought the front up so I can clear dimes on the road and everything. I'll probably go with a set of longer Swifts for the rear to give me a bit of a rake. Tough given your options, or lack of them, with the 'vert.
