Well I was planning on letting the springs settle for a week or two before going in and having an alignment done. Is that the correct way to do it?

I haven't thought about a chamber and tow kit yet. But tbh I'm kind of relieved that I still have parts to save and look forward to!

How necessary are they? Would you suggest waiting the year or buying them in the next few months? Say....at Christmas from the wife?

I haven't thought about needing new end links now or in the future. Just goes to show you how much of a newb you can still be in certain areas even with a ton invested and a long signature. How much are new end links if you happen to know offhand?
Oh and might as well ask you what I should expect to pay on the chamber n toe kits too. Thanks John I appreciate this. I know you've been perfecting your drop over the last couple months or so, I'm certain your the perfect person to get some current do's and do boys from.

Waiting a week before the alignment is more than enough time, on the assumption that the shop doing your install expresses some skills at aligning things manually. However, if the car is shaky, by all means get it aligned soon, and avoid highway speeds. There's probably more unnecessary caution here than otherwise, but if you've the luxury of babying this project, might as well. Truth is, if you do a lot of driving after the install, the springs will likely settle same-day.

Some of the "settling" is in the springs themselves, but with OEM top-seats, most of the settling is how the spring fits into the top-seats. It's a pliable rubber over plastic material that absorbs the non-flat cut of the spring, and provides some cushion between the spring and the frame.

When getting aligned, toe is more important than camber. So when toe is aligned to center, that's when they work on camber. It's a little give & take between the two. Point being, your camber may or may not be to your liking with regard to fitment between the wheel and the fender. So just get it aligned and assess things afterwards. Lots of people don't bother or don't need aftermarket camber arms.

There are two manufacturers that I'm familiar with: SPC and SPL. The SPL parts are top-shelf, and lots more expensive. For SPC, figure $400 for both front and rear.

As for end-links... you're in no rush with those parts. I still have my OEM links, but I also drive under 5K miles/year. Plan on it in another year or more, is all. IDK about cost... look up Whiteline or SPL.

Red, I'm no expert at all. All I can speak to is my recent personal experience after having done research here. But if this helps you, I'm happy to write it down for what it's worth. I'm sure Newt will chime in with better info, or correcting some misconception on my part. Which is fine, I like learning about the car, too.

Great reply J, nothing to add except in Reddis case he can only go w/ the rear toe bolt/rear camber bolt setup since they don't make the rear arms for the vert.

I'm not sure if I should be happy about the limited options cause it will ultimately cost less, or sad bc it may make a much needed difference if the fronts were indeed available. Brad where do I land on this? John?

The front SPC arms will work for a vert AFAIK, it's the rear arms that won't.

Dude Love it. I really want long tubes, but I think my next mod will be gears. Plus my gf isn't too found of loud cars. I just need her to go on a trip for an extended period of time, just long enough for her to forget how loud my car is lmao.

Thanks for the sub, I'm definitely subbing!

That original pic (top and top left of all the photos above) was taken last year when my step-daughter got homecoming maid. So the coolest thing happened this year, and I'd like to share it with my G37 family.

My daughter got homecoming maid again! Plus the homecoming Queen and all the maids got to go thru the kindergarten classes and select one boy to be their "knight" or escort across the footbal field at the homecoming game. Well of course my daughter was planning on choosing her little brother. However, the Queen got first choice of course.

Well after some browsing around for the cutest knight....the homecoming Queen chose my little man!!! How awesome is that!!!??

Here we are last year driving around the field^^^

In three weeks I'll get to drive my new & improved G around the field sporting my lovely step-daughter and my stud of a son in the back of the convertible waving to everyone in the stands!!! I'm so proud of both of them!!! I cannot wait! Afterwards I'll post some pics of how the kids looked and how the G37 blew the doors off or all the other dads who borrowed their friends corvettes or brought their own vettes or vipers!! Don't worry guys. My G and I won't let ya down. We will be rocking the best of show award before the night is over!! Assuming there really is one lol.

Looking so clean Reddi. That bottom pic looks like your back rear tire has some funky positive camber, hope it's just the angle, lol

Yeah, that looks messed up. But after that vert gets properly fitted, it's going to look great. Almost there, Red.

You know, I'm not really digging the front splitter, but it sure is unique looking.

Let's see those brakes up close. Whoops... nvrmnd.

Nice eye Brad & John. My boys got me distracted so I didn't get a chance to go on my rant.

I went and picked up my car, grabbed the key and jumped in. Fully expecting everything to be perfect since the shop had been nothing but perfection on almost everything beforehand. I looked in my passenger seat and notice my brand new control arm still in the bubble wrap!! Which led me to get out and check the rest of the car. They had totally forgotten to install the suspension part, switch out my center caps, and they didn't switch out my lugs for the kics R40's!!!

You should know that I almost replaced the arm myself, but at the last minute I figured " it's gonna be in the shop to repair the splitter n bumper anyway, why not let the professionals do it?" But when I was putting my McGuard lugs back on I accidentally grabbed the wrong key so one of the lug nuts got stuck. To clarify I drive the car to the shop with only 4 lugs on that rear tilted wheel. The rock heads at the body shop installed my tires n wheels and thought nothing about sending me on my way with only 4 lugs!!?? What??? When I dropped the car off the shop attendant walked around the car talking about what I expected. When something came up he wrote it on my car with a bright green erasable marker!!! How the hell does something like this happen. Obviously I'm pissed at this point (which rarely ever happens) and I walk back into the shop with my control arm in hand. They inform me that it's vacation season for their staff and the mechanic that handles that stuff has just left for 10 days.

10 more days until I can properly drive my car! What? Just before I was going to kick it up a notch the customer service manager for the mechanical side walks in.
He agrees with me over and over again. Turns out the confusion happened when I told them I wasn't going to have them install my swifts and sways. They took this to mean don't touch anything suspension. I didn't even have the swifts and sways up there. They are in my garage!

Anyway the manager agrees to fix all the mistakes, install my swifts, and install my sways for $200 at his shop this Sunday. He's going to come pick the car up from my house and drop it off that evening. Does anybody have an opinion on this price? I think it's a decent one. But I cannot be sure since I'm still a suspension virgin. Sorry for the long rant. But I admit it felt good to get that off my chest to my Infiniti family!! Whew.

That was actually going to be the next pic I posted John. so thanks. I will give them credit hey cleaned my calipers very well. They also buffed the car top to bottom. Those CF mirror covers had tiny spots on them that I couldn't get off no matter what I tried. I had given up and figured it was permanent, but man they look brand new now.

I love the front and side splitters, but tbh I feel like the front splitter should set back about an inch. I'm not sure if it's the splitter or not, but the car has a slight wobble right now at 40Mph. I'm sure the tilted wheel is the culprit, but after the first splitter splitting (lol) it's difficult not to worry about it.

The mechanic told me not to drive it much and not to go very fast. I listened for the most part. Just a nice relaxing drive with the top down. Picked up some groceries and headed home. Felt so good to have my ride back. Mmm. I can't wait to kill some corners on Sunday evening!!!

Oh and John I really was going to take your advice on installing the parts one at a time. But the $200 out the door install offer was too good and I just really really wanted my car back in one shapely piece again. You understand, right?
