It really makes that much of a difference. ?

I have a 2010 G37x Coupe..... with a loose rear end... compared to the front... It would be great if this would fix it !!!!

Yes, it will make a significant difference. The AWD cars actually have a larger front sway bar than the RWD from the factory. Unfortunately, the AWD cars have a smaller rear sway bar. Swapping in the RWD sway bar gives you the stiffest factory sway bar option. The benefit of this is that you have OEM bushings that do not require greasing and it is a good middle ground.

I've had the Continental DWS before, but now it is confirmed. The DWS is the best all season tire. No other all season tire comes close to it in snow performance. Ride quality is excellent. What a difference from the crappy Dunlop tires that comes on this car from the factory. Even with 20" wheels and tires opposed to 18" the ride quality is better. I'm glad I got those tires off before they killed me, which they almost did a few times in the snow and rain (driving slower than the pace of traffic).

I took one of the rear Forgestar wheels off yesterday and decided to weigh it.

20x10.5 Forgestar CF10 with a Continental ExtemeContact DWS 255/35R20 tire mounted and balanced (with weights added) full of air weighed in at:

52.8 pounds

I agree whole heartedly about your observations about the oem Dunflops and swapping them out. I have Michelin x-ice3's on my oem 18's and the improvement in comfort was immediate and dramatic, as was the dissipation in road noise (crazy as I went to a snow tire! although one known for low noise and have longer lasting treadwear).

For summer I have Hankook evo2's on my 20's and they rode many times better than than the 18" dunflops as well. Those oem tires were subpar in so many categories and have an outrageous price (as do most oem size & lines eg Acura stock tires).

When I went to my local tire shop and had the Dunflops removed and the snow tires mounted about a year and half ago (this was in the Fall and I had my 20's still on the car), I picked up the newly mounted snow tires and there was some odd looks because I brought my coupe.. I was like 'I've made them fit coming here, I know how to get it all to work' ...they still looked at me a bit odd and said okay, just back your car up to the bay. I did that..got my wheel bags out...did the one in the trunk, two in the back seat, one up in the passenger seat dance and went home. Fast forward 15 minutes and I get a call from the manager, 'you forgot your Dunlops, sir' -- I said, 'ohhh, no wonder i got the odd looks from your staff...I had no intention off keeping that rubbish. I know you mentioned the rears had 5/32 and the front 6/32, but I don't want them nor do I want to resell / CL such crappy tires to another person. Feel free to do what u want with them, sorry if I needed to pay a disposal fee.' The manager laughed and said you're fine..have a good one. I came to find out they were thrown on a Honda Odyssey to help a family make it back to Ohio and they were low on funds at the time. Paid for mount/ balance and got them on their way. So I guess it all worked out, hopefully that family doesn't have those crappy tires on their Ody though.

That's a funny story, that family got those tires for about what their worth. I've driven all season tires in the snow for many years now without any major issues. I have also driven on snow tires and know how that feels. Those Dunlop tires should not be called all season tires. They are dangerous in the snow and very unpredictable, I think there are summer tires I would rather drive on in the snow. For a while I thought that the AWD system on this car was terrible, but I am glad to report it is just the terrible tires.

I'm sure your car handles great with the Michelin snow tires!

Ryne,
How is your ride with the 20s overall. Looking to get new wheels myself and not sure if I should go 19 or 20. Concerned about ride stability and snow/ice. Same question applies with the springs.

Ride quality on the 20" wheels and 255/35R20 Continental DWS tires feels very similar to the OEM 18" setup.

Stability is also good since these are great all season tires and not staggered sizes with really wide tires in the rear. The car drives better lowered with these 20" wheels and tires in the snow than it did with the stock setup. I had some very scary drives with the stock setup.

I would have thoroughly regretted going with 19" wheels and I don't see how they would ride any better than the 20" setup I have now.

I felt the stock dark chrome grille was clashing with my black and grey theme so I went ahead and purchased this.

I've never seen the midnight grille in person but I was surprised to find that the finish has a pearl look to it. It's a nice subtle touch in my opinion.

The installation of that midnight grille was much more difficult and involved than I anticipated...

It's done though, and I'll post pictures when I get all of the salt off the car.
