It's been slow going but three of the Rays are on now finally. Now... If I can just find those center caps you sent me I'll be in good shape!
Mods have just been small so far A piggy back to so I can increase the boost on my turbos/timing/etc, intakes, downpipes, and running a e85 mix.

Not the best pic cause its from my cellphone:

Looking good there! That's a heck of a platform to start with man, nice choice.

Thank you sir! I'm really pleased with the result. Just gotta decide if I'm going sell the other set or hang onto the for the winter. I think a very subtle drop would finish it off nicely. Not sure when that will be doable though, I'll just enjoy it as is and start saving again. Looks like I'll be in LA in July if not sooner, I'll reach out and see if you have some time. I always enjoy the Yardhouse and an adult beverage.

You know, I'm no fan of red calipers, but the black wheels on a black car... Have you considered it? And if you do use a finish other than OEM metallic silver, how about color matching the center caps?

If not red... Gunmetal?

Something about those center caps doesn't look right. You could always play with plastidip on the caps, to see if you like other options with a temporary experiment. Pick up a can of red plastidip, and spray the caps on one side, just for the heck of it.

I decided on purple, or purplish. It started out as plum crazy but is a custom blend with pearls. The calipers will be the same color as the accent color on the engine bay parts. I'll talk to JP and see if he'll shoot me a set of center caps also, that's a good idea. I may also poke around and see if I can find a set of black caps that will fit.

Progress / teaser pics
I was hoping the paint would calm down the Infiniti logo a little more but I think it looks better now than the two tone it was before.

I think I'd rather shave the "battery" letters and paint, but I can't deny that looks pretty. And yes, those are a whole lot of Fuji's you got there, but the solid color paint certainly helps.

Looking forward to seeing this engine bay in person. I suspect you're getting jazzed up thinking of showing it off.

Thank you John, I'm pretty happy with what I'm seeing. I hadn't considered shaving the letters, that's a good thought. I may pick up a set of covers and try that route as well. I'll have to see how it all looks once back together then decide whether to get a new set of the Zeetoyz covers. The paint does seem to tone it down a bit.

I'm hoping to have everything back together by next weekend but it will depend on weather and well, whether I get back from Houston and Austin on time. By then the new grounding kit should in so my plan is to clean the TB, possibly Seafoam, swap out the grounding kits and reassemble. I think the nose is going to have to come off to get it all back together though, we'll see.

Those engine bay parts are looking great, the work that JPS does is always first rate. Look forward to seeing it all pieced together.
BTW how much time from start to finish on those?

I just got the "final" pics, JP really did a nice job on these. He captured the blue I originally envisioned with the plum crazy I wanted and really nailed that middle ground / shade change with the UV and black pearl. He's had them about three months but was really busy at work. He was also excellent about keeping me in the loop and communicating, I have no complaints at all. I know what it's like working two jobs and trying to balance that with home life and a baby at home.
