Felt like a kid at Christmas on Friday, I was unwrapping for about an hour or so. Spent a little time today trying to get things back together but I'm still waiting for the engine cover and calipers. Managed to lose the weatherstripping for the battery and brake housings so I ordered new ones today. Little bit of detail work, the dealership replaced my cup holder lid and when they did they somehow boggled the shifter a little bit, dremeled it again and reinstalled it, working well again now. Seafoamed everything earlier today then took the recommended "spirited drive", still pulling very hard. Hit triple digits awfully quickly. Anyway, a few progress pics.
These are the fender bolts I went with

JDM tails

New lens covers

Getting closer

I can't say enough good things about JPs work

Fancy huh? GT-R baby, because... Race car! Had to have added 15 HP right?
I like the clear a LOT better than the frosted and I think they will pop a lot better once I get the headliner project done. I was looking at them and debating and then Keith and I got to talking and he mentioned he really liked his so I'm looking forward to seeing them on the finished product on Saturday.

Damn.
What else am I going to find out that I want after this meet-up?
Chris, you see that pair of M8 bolts in front of your intake shields next to the radiator shroud, one pair on each side? The ones that are all gnarly with corrosion? Well, I've got Titanium Bolts and Ti-washers there, from DressUpBolts.com. You'll see them next week, after which there's something you're going to want.
Also, paint your intake tie-down brackets, man. It'll look much better.

So the GT-R has the identical map-lights, but their lens looks like that, all clear and diamond cut? Seriously? This is the first I've heard of it. I need to see these things next weekend, although my itchy trigger finger wants to order them sight unseen.
Damn.

I'm going to check out the Titanium bolts and washers today, I was looking at the yesterday trying to figure out a swap. There's also two more fender bolts I was looking swapping out but it looks to be a good bit of work to get to them and my back had about enough of bending over yesterday.
That they do. As I mentioned, or meant to, the only downside for me is the stage 3 LED boards are more visible. So instead of the flood of frosted light it's a little more apparent that there is a board in there. If I look closely. I'm fine with it for now, don't know what others will think at the meet. But the fix to a stage 2 is certainly simple enough.

I bought them at Z1, I think they were around $27 shipped. They're OEM parts though you should be able to get them at a Nissan dealer

Good advice! +1 for DD I have the DD footwell lights and an LED glove compartment light, I also changed the trunk light to a Bright white blue LED. I think the trunk light had the biggest improvement.

I haven't changed out the trunk light yet. What stage or set up did you go with there?
I replaced the map lights and front door lights with red, back seat lights are white, glove box will be red, license plate amber and then I did the back up lights and will be doing the parking lights and front turn signals soon. I think il going to do the rear turn signals as well but I need to decide which tails I'm going to keep first.

Looking good Rex - any plans for the engine cover? Man our motors look UGLY without that simple piece of plastic. Infiniti needs to take some queues from Audi on how to make an engine look visibly pleasing - I love their use of red on the coil packs.

Yeah, definitely needs the covers to make it aesthetically pleasing. It's coming along now though finally.
