Spring 2015

I've declared this freakishly long and lousy winter officially over, and spent the afternoon swapping the duckfeet out for my summer Vossens.

Kind of a PITA because of the spacers used during the winter... they didn't want to come off until I threatened them with a screwdriver and a hammer.

After everything was cleaned up, and the tire pressure set properly on all four, I drove around for a bit. The TPMS light went off within a quarter mile (because I never reset it at the beginning of winter. Lazy.) Everything drove true and smooth. And OMG I almost forgot how awesome these PSS tires are. Yikes!

Here are some pics.

Looks good.

I don't think you want the G37 Sport lip, what about a diffuser to compliment a more aggressive front?

Thanks.

You're right, I don't want the Sport chin. Went back and forth on the idea many times over the last 3+ years, and always settled on doing without. To borrow a phrase from Amadeus, "Too many notes."

Ditto on the rear diffuser, although that one I never debated, and just knew right away it wasn't something I wanted. However, I do like having the flat-black vinyl wrap in that area... I just think I would like to have it painted instead of wrapped. (They screwed up the corners.) Figure when the current wrap starts peeling, then it's time to get it painted instead.

Another mod I was waiting on for Springtime. Double-posted here from the HappyBuyItNow roofwing thread:

Looks really clean. Glad to see you getting things started for the year! Hope things come along nicely at this point with your exhaust.

Thanks.

Last Friday's delivery was cancelled... IDK why. But as of today, the catback is "Out For Delivery", meaning it's on the truck.

So, before end-of-day. Finally!

Fast Intentions Catback - 2.5" w/18" Resonators

Only took 15 weeks and 4 days of patience. Calm, no drama patience. (LOL)

The packing was solid and bubble-wrapped to death. The pipes are beautifully bent, the brackets welds look like they could lift a truck. Granted, I don't know what I don't know about mechanical engineering, but what I'm seeing impresses me.

The mufflers have "Sebring Tuning" etched into the top, so that answers that supplier question, and the tips have this swoopy logo... IDK what it is. No wait, it's the FI logo. Interesting.

The edges of the mufflers are weird. There's no edge, no visible weld. Just a continuous fold. How do they do that? It's beautiful.

Took UPS long enough.

Glad that you've finally got delivery. Now for the install!

You are going to get tired of me commenting on your posts really quick but I can't help it. It's freaking amazing. I so can't wait for you to get it installed. It's going to sound like heaven...on steroids.

Looks nice. When is the install scheduled, or are you in the driveway with your car on ramps bolting it on right now?

Texted my mechanic this evening looking for a schedule. Soon as he's able.

Sooner the better, too.
