Rochester's new G
Only took 15 weeks and 4 days of patience.
Calm, no drama patience. (LOL)
The packing was solid and bubble-wrapped to death. The pipes are beautifully bent, the brackets welds look like they could lift a truck. Granted, I don't know what I don't know about mechanical engineering, but what I'm seeing impresses me.
The mufflers have "Sebring Tuning" etched into the top, so that answers that supplier question, and the tips have this swoopy logo... IDK what it is. No wait, it's the FI logo. Interesting.
The edges of the mufflers are weird. There's no edge, no visible weld. Just a continuous fold. How do they do that? It's beautiful.

Looks good bro, patience is a virtue and it's well worth it, between how many Resonators did you order? 12? 18?

The plan: larger pipes for a deep sound, but heavily resonated to reduce in-cabin drone. (knock on wood) We'll see what happens sometime in the next week or so. Personally, I like exhaust noise, so there's also the possibility that I'd like it louder.

Great to hear that they finally came in! If you remember driving my car, my cabin was still pretty quiet so I don't think it would be that bad.
Can't wait to see what your comments are about the hiss.

As for the hiss... we'll see. Even if it's there with the 2.5" setup, I suspect it's more frustrating in an urban setting, or in a parking garage, where all kinds of car noises are amplified. Since 99% of my driving is suburban jaunts, dropping the kids of here and there, I'm hoping not to care. That again, that video from AroundTheG37 was outdoors, and the hiss was front and center. Meh, it's anybody's guess, and I'll be listening for it next week.

Is that X-Pipe truly an X-pipe, or is it a dual exhaust welded together for strength?
I know, let's stick a flashlight in one end, credit Twin_Snails for that idea...

...and take a picture at the end of the other pipe:

I was expecting to see a larger cross chamber port there where the pipes are joined. On mine, it was a rectangular port about the size of a pack of gum. I wasn't expecting to see that. Figured it would have been more of an oval shape.
YEAH! For the Monday install! The only nit I have with mine is some rasp under hard acceleration. I need to get it back on a lift to make sure I have everything aligned properly with regard to the gaskets.

...and to install those customized 5/8" coil spring bushings.
...and to install the Vert cradle braces, which are supposed to arrive today.
You can expect honest feedback, but I wouldn't necessarily expect rants, unless hiss from hell. And even then.
Aren't X and H pipes just different ways to tune the sound?
I bet the Monday install can't come soon enough for you

Vert Cradle Braces
Otherwise known as the Stay Assembly, but I think Vert Cradle Braces sounds better, even though it's also a 370Z part. Anyway, car goes up on the lift Monday, so I'll wait until then to confirm fitment on the RWD Sedan. If it's a fit, I still want to wait a few weeks until installing them, so that I can get reacquainted with the summer tires before looking for changes in handling.
Say, am I introducing a clearance issue with these things?

Gloss Black Fog Rings
In January, I bought a new pair of fog rings (accidentally). Rather than return them, I had them professionally painted in gloss black. Today, I took the fog assemblies off the car, cleaned everything up, and re-installed with the new rings in place..
IDK. If I'm being honest, I think I rather like the chrome rings better. However, since I have two sets, I'm going to go with these black ones for a couple of years. It's a different look, particularly with the amber window tint on the lenses.
It gives the car a more sport-inspired look, rather than upscale with chrome bling. And it has some balance, with the custom grille, the window tint, and the narrow roof wing... all in glossy black.
Meh, doublespeak. It's a keeper for now, more so because I put the effort into it than because I love it. Here's a pic:
