Not too shabby for 8 years and 34k miles. Here they are in my basement, ready to go.

You might as well get a piece of glass/tabletop and stack them to make a coffee table during the winter. Not really kidding - clean wheels like that look great.

//unless the basement area is a family/spouse primary area... then you might get some pushback LOL.

///CSB - when my wife (at the time girlfriend) met my best friend, he had a giant 4 bedroom house all to himself and had car parts *errywhere*. Like, disassembled turbo on the dining room table, wire shelves of car parts in the living room, etc. I got 'the look' and a "we're never going to do that, correct?"

That's not a bad idea. And since the tires are like 1/8" from the lip, the glass would sit on the rubber.

But what to do in the Spring... duckfeet? I mean, the spokes and lips are clean, but the backside is typical 10 year old crud. Hmm.

Anyway, good thinking!

Mrs. Rotary Mike: Look me in the eye and tell me we're never going to do that, correct?

Huh, me either. Some other TireRack links from other forum posts don't seem to resolve... something something HTML5.

Google "Tire Rack Wheel Bags" - basically a carry sack for your wheels, would solve the dirty OEM wheel issue.

Well, I want to put my Vossens back on the car, I really do. But temps are still in the low 40's, and potholes remain unfilled everywhere. Damn.

Still cold, but... Springtime!

Did the wheel swap yesterday. Ow, my back.

a beauty as always

Two questions:
1. You ever consider putting the OEM sport lip? I feel it would complete the look so much

2. Ever consider tints? I think your car looks amazing without tints, not sure it'd improve the look

Thanks!

I've gone back and forth on the OEM sport lip, and it is nice. However, I wouldn't be able to make the transition from road to driveway without scraping it up, because I've got a high grade between the pavement and the sidewalk. Also, an 11 year old pearl white finish would be impossible to paint match. So it's an unfortunate pass.

I used to have rear door tint, and I really liked it. But about 5 years ago NY ammended their tint laws for passenger cars, and it had to be removed in order to pass NYS Inspection, which sucks *****.

Glad to see this build thread still going. What a nice review on that remote tune too! A whole different world compared to the BMW tuning I've gotten used to!

Car looks great, Rochester!

Yesterday I had a 1:1 meet up with an old friend from the forum. He lives in Columbus OH and I live in Rochester NY, so we met half way in a little PA down called Meadville.

On the way home this morning, I snapped of pic of a bit of a milestone for my car. I know it's not a big deal compared to most, but still feels like a big deal for the G.

Oh, and notice the summer temps somewhat early this year. That's how I discovered my AC has become super weak. God damn it.

And here's a selfie with our cars in the background. Sadly, mine is not the Jaguar.
