Rochester's new G
It really depends on your local club and how tight they stick to the SCCA rules. My local club required a Snell SA-rated helmet (same as track days) that had not expired - today that would mean an SA2020, *maybe* a SA2015. My helmet is a SA2000 so would no longer qualify - if anyone checked. On the other hand, the last AutoX I did was ~2013 in Charleston SC and they barely did the required vehicle safety tech inspection, and some folks were wearing motocross helmets. Last Autocross in NC was ~2007 and not only did tech take 30 minutes, they even checked the fit of my helmet on my head and my seating position so YMMV.
SCCA requires current M or SA rating - M2020 or M2015 are motorcycle helmets. Supposedly Amazon has good prices, but when I searched Snell M2020 I got zero results that were actually Snell rated.

The cheapest option is always a friend in your covid safety bubble that already has one. Just note the federal motorcycle helmet cert (FMVSS) by itself isn't good enough.

Maxpider3D Floor Mats
Well, I like the look. And I like the fitment. And I like how it covers up the corroded lower half of my dead pedal.
It certainly feels like an upgrade, and worth $100 for the two front mats. However, are these really "winter mats"? I'm feeling like they can be, but they would also suffer for it.

Curious to how those hold up against the damage your heel does. I found with my old weather techs, there was a nice deep dent where the heel goes after just a year of use. Im still rocking my Aliexpress mats with the second rubberized carpet layer and loving them lol.
I picked up a set of all 4 of these for a steal (Amazon daily deal I think) for the same $ and so far like them. But, the worst my car deals with is water, mud, and sand - no snow, ice, salt etc.

The more I mull this over, the more I think I'll be swapping in the OEM rubber mats for winter, and make these my 3-season mats. They're too nice to ruin with road salt. Now that the kid is taking the 3rd car to college with her, there's probably going to be more situations where I'll have to drive the G in the winter.

Yes, there are no water channels, but its better than the salty water soaking into carpet floor pads.
I know its not a direct comparison, but we've had these same mats in my wife's Durango for about 3 years now. They have help up very well and still look brand new even with our two dogs, lots of dirt/mud, rain and even snow when we've been up in the mountains. I don't see any reason why you would need to swap them out for different matts in the Winter.
