Anyone install the Tanabe springs in the front themselves? I was wondering what kind of spring compressor you used...will the Autozone rental work?
In case you didn't see it in the other thread I'll answer it here too, check my build thread. I used the same Autozone style compressor, super easy.
Also, for those wandering if you should remove material from the rear rubber mount. I wont comment whether that's the right way or not but its literally ONE 17 or 19mm bolt to get the spring off on the RWD. SOOOOOO easy. Even if you just wanted to take the spring out and look at it, its literally harder and more time consuming putting the car on a jack then it is to remove the spring. SO EASY.
Here is mine, just installed myself. With 15MM spacers all the way around. Drives and feels stock...but I think it sat approximately 28.5 front and now sits just a tad over 27 in the front.
I know this thread is over a year old but I'm hoping to find some understanding....
I did this same exact mod to my 2012 Sport coupe a few days ago. It looks great! Tanabe lowering springs in the front and factory springs in the rear. I also added 15mm H&R spacers all around so now the stance is perfect for my taste. I have IPL wheels, 235 front and 265 rear summer tires.
Today I got an alignment. I'm not too savvy when it comes to these numbers but from what I have read on the forums only the toe is adjustable and not the camber.
Are these good results for an alignment? Am I going to eat through my tires quickly? Is my steering/handling going to be off?
I have no problem going back to the shop and telling them to make more adjustments. Thanks!
