Rotors and Pads 09 G37x sedan

I have to replace my rotors and pads, most of my driving is hwy so I'm looking to upgrade but don't want to break the bank because I want to do my exhaust at the same time. Any suggestions ?? Thanks

May I suggest you look in the sub-forum on brakes?

Whats "break the bank" mean to you? Could do a set of Akebono's as an upgrade...

Thanks for the recommendations I have been checking out some of the posts in the brake subsections and the site brakeperformance.com got a decent review, wasn't sure whether I should upgrade to a dimpled/slotted or crossdrilled ???

Got rotors from brakeperformance.com slotted/drilled, haven't installed them yet though, seem to be about the same weight as oems and have a nice heavy coat of black zinc. Got Stoptech pads from Rockauto.com, can't beat their prices. KNS brakes (a site sponsor has nice pkg deals on centric premium rotors & stoptechs, might be worth a look. Might PM him for better pricing (maybe).

blnewt - I am pleased with the cross-drilled rotors I got from brakeperformance. Coupled with the stoptech street performance pads I got from KNS, they are performing as I expected. Right now there is very little pedal travel and once warm, they bite pretty darn good.

Aside from the odd sound they make when braking hard... no complaints.

Nice to hear, I should have mine installed in a couple weeks, I'll post my impressions on the brakeperformance thread in the brake folder.
