Tein H techs vs Tanabe Springs Ride Wise
Well i do want to drop my car, just not sure what to drop it on. Im just not looking for a drop, im looking for my ride to stay basically the same. Ive heard multiple stories that the ride on H techs SUCKS, and then i heard its ok... I didnt hear much on the tanabe springs and i want to learn more about them. And i do kno that h techs do have a lower drop, are the tanabes to suttle? (I am not looking for that big of a drop)
So owners of both can you please post up feedback on how ur ride is with these springs installed.
(P.S please dont say get coils, or get a strut those arent options)
Thx

I have Tanabe NF 210's and love'em... The ride quality is actually BETTER than stock IMO... Not too stiff, not too soft... The drop is perfect... I've gotten a lot of compliments on the road... If you're not looking for too big of a drop, then I would suggest the Tanabes...
Not sure what you mean by bounce, but they handle speed bumps and dips really well... Kind of stiff but nothing too outrageous... They are very good, all around comfortable springs...

I've had the Tanabe for several thousand miles. The ride is very similar to stock with better handling and no harshness. It's a subtle drop but I can still go up steep driveways and over speed bumps without a problem. Also consider the lift where you get your car serviced, many cannot acommodate much of a drop. I ran into that yesterday at an alignment shop even though I'm not dropped very much. The only place I notice the increased ride harshness is over expansion joints in concrete roads. They are more jarring than before but nothing too serious.
A lot of people with H-techs say the ride is bouncy and sort of harsh, but they seem to love it.
!00% of people with Tanabe's love them, not one negative feedback on them.

That's the tradeoff you'll traditionally have to make - a really low drop will ride like crap. A drop that rides great won't be low enough for some people.
Did you have to install a camber kit or were you able to get your alignment close without one on Tanabes??
I could still get to the outer limits of being in alignment spec with no kit and stock wheels. However, I got 20" wheels and installed the Eibach rear camber kit this week. Took it to be aligned today and everything was OK both front and rear.
