BC Coilover question:

Got them installed a couple of weeks ago, and the back end rattles, when going over bumps.

The shop I got them installed from said that it was because of the spring design being metal on metal.

I dunno but I want it gone. What do you guys think?

Thanks

Hmmm... Doesn't seem right. I know 2 people with BCs that I've seen personally and they don't rattle.

where did they run your extenders? it could be them rattling if they're just tucked behind the carpet or something

no, they didn't put the extenders in, as they didn't have easy access to the trunk because of my fibreglassing

and actually.. the spring shouldn't be touching any metal now that i think about it. did they put them in right?

the cone-shaped top coil perch comes out and gets replaced with the piece that came with the coilovers (pretty sure it had rubber on it)

and the bottom rubber piece gets taken off of the old spring and put on the new one

i'd check and make sure all the bolts were tight too

^^Exactly. You should have no noise what so ever.

Glad I'm not the only one with the rear right rattle...it sounds like something loose and is ANNOYING! I thought it was my seat not fully latched or the seat belt in the back hitting the trim, but it is neither. Sadly I noticed that with a passenger the noise goes away, making this really difficult to resolve. Let me know what you find Max.

Well hopefully you don't have the same problem with your set of coilovers. That would suck big time.
