Steering column gauge mount

Does anyone know if they make or where I can find a steering column gauge mount for a 2010 sedan?

Gauge pods of any sort are hard to find for this car. You might have to mount something universal on the top of the column housing.

I was hoping that I wouldnt have to donit that way. It just wont look good. I'll have to figure something else out. I saw someone put it in their glovebox but I need the space in there. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I picked up a spare A pillar from a salvage yard and I'm glassing a generic pillar pod onto that. I just need to get more of the cloth that covers it.

that's a good idea. I was also trying to stay away from the pillar pods. I think it would look weird with 1 gauge. I'm trying to keep the interior looking like stock as much as possible. I drive the kids around in it. For me it's the steering column mount or nothing. I'll keep looking. If anyone happens to come across one and can message me it would be much appreciated!

I do the same - its the reason I got a sedan instead of a coupe. The full-pillar pod setups (usually 3) look odd to me and IMHO put too much clutter in an important visual area. I've got mine down by the vent - it's an electric oil pressure gauge so not too deep and only wires need to pass through the area.

I have an OBDII gauge thing that I had on the steering column for a while - looked OK. Lessee if I can find a pic...

that doesnt look to bad. Where did you get the electric oil pressure gauge from and what brand was it? What did the obd2 gauge do exactly?

OBDII gauge displays any readable OBDII parameter. That's the pic above.

Amazon Amazon

It is NEAT and does a lot of things. I decided to build it into the analog clock in the center console.

The gauge I don't have in the car yet. It's this one:

Amazon Amazon

I've been waiting for the next oil change to install the sender and adapter into the oil pan (T's into the oem pressure switch) and the A-pillars are sitting in my garage to be modified still. As I'm sure you understand, with kids around car hobby time is limited.

sounds pretty cool. Putting the gauge where the clock is is a great idea. That's going to look clean. Its definitely tough between kids and work. The wife thinks I'm crazy for doing things to the car but some women will never understand. I just recently install a invidia q300 cat back on the car. Thanks for the link. I'm going to look into the obd2 gauge also.

Sounds very familiar. I got a Fast Intentions CBE and resonated HFCs in April... didn't get a chance to put them on until over Christmas break. Yeah, my wife was pretty pissed at me spending time outside on the car... She doesn't get it at all. She finds a car that does what she wants, buys it, and trades it in when it starts to need maintenance past the normal oil change stuff. She asked me once why I just didn't buy the car I wanted - so I showed her an Aston Martin listing...

The OBD2 thing I got on a whim - $40 to see if I liked it or not. It is VERY cool as-is. You can change the lighting colors, warning setpoints, etc.I wouldn't use it for a fast-acting parameter like oil P or the like, but for things that change in seconds not milliseconds it is great. I plan to show water temp, as shown in the picture.

Search my posts, I'm in the middle of a conference call but I've got some videos of it working on here.

I'll definitely look through your posts. I guess your wife knows why you dont have the car you want now. $$$. They dont understand when we work on our cars and modify them that's our time of peace along with the feeling we get doing these things. Stay safe out there!

No joke. I refer to it as grease therapy. It seriously is a zen flow state.

I’ve been working from home for 1.5 weeks now... as has my wife. And our kiddos school is cancelled till mid May. So the danger to us is more cabin fever than sarscov2.
