I think the steering is too loose/soft and would like a heavier feeling like how BMW hydraulic steering feels. Is there any reasonable way for me to accomplish that?

More caster will add weight to the steering feel while turning, but will lose steering feel when going straight. It will also re-center faster after a turn.

Caster is the center line you could increase camber

Can't change caster or camber with OE control arms. You have install aftermarket.

Maybe remove the belt to the power steering pump?

Exactly what I was thinking! LoL

Wider tires don't do much...I have 255's in the front (from 225) and it feels the same IMO

I know where you are coming from.... my previous daily driver was an 2001 BMW 5 series, which has the proper steering effort. (IMO)

I HATE the over assisted steering on the G37....
I am working to fix that and building an Arduino based power steering controller with adjustable assist and it should be plug and play.

My goal is BMW steering effort on my G37

Are you describing "more resistance" as more torque? The FSM mentions this on pg 12 at http://www.nicoclub.com/manuals/G37/Coupe/2008/STC.pdf. I'm interested in increasing the torque or resistance. Keep us posted to what you find.
