Reverse Bulbs: 5K WHITE 19 LED 8W HIGH POWER BULBS 917 918 920 921 922 923 579 | 1 PAIR

Rear Signals: PLATINUM 5K WHITE 7 WATT HIGH POWER 20 LED LIGHT BULBS 7440 7443 | 1 PAIR

Those bulbs were the only bulbs that I felt were bright enough. The reverse bulbs really illuminate the rear and you can see the turn signals with no problem in the day or night. Expensive but worth it IMO.

Thanks. So the white works fine for the turn signals? i thought it was better to use red LED for the turn signals' red housing.

Hey guys, I just bought these switchback's per the Recommendation of the site and they do not fit my 2012 Sedan. Any ideas if the light changed through the previous years? It plugs into the harness but the bulb is too big to insert into the housing:

I've got the same ones. They don't fit. You have to shave down the hole in the headlight juuuuust a little bit to get them to fit. I used a conical grinding bit (by hand, not actually hooked to any tool) to shave mine down ever so slightly. Should be able to find them in Lowes. Kinda like this:

As for the bulb color, it has to do with the fact that LEDs are monochromatic, whereas incandescent bulbs are not. A red LED only emits red light, but an incandescent bulb (like your stock bulb) emits the whole spectrum and only light in the red wavelength is allowed to pass through the red plastic lens.

Hey thanks for the update but I actually got them to fit after a little angling and persuasion

I bought 3 ohm resistors, a set of switchbacks for the front and leds for the back. I installed the resistor to the green and black leads on by the rear light. hyperblinking occurs. When I reinstall the old bulb, the blink rate slows back to normal, but the switch backs will strobe white/amber like before. Yet in any other position of lights i.e. auto, running lights, or ON position. The switchbacks respond as expected.
So I wonder if my 3 ohm at 50w resistor is not correct. I believe it's getting enough contact because it's heating up, like a resistor would.
Once the LED is reinstalled in the rear, hyperblinking occurs again fully. So it does seems like it could still be an issue of not enough, or not the correct addition of resistance to the circuit.
Thoughts?
