Help 09 g37x sedan rear bumper chip

09 g37x sedan rear bumper chip

White g37x sedan. I have a chip on my rear bumper and it is all the way down to the point where you can see the black metal. The chip is the size of a thumbnail. I was wondering if I should touch it up with touchup paint or take it to the dealer

If it's your bumper, it's just plastic. Use touch up paint.

I read somewhere a while ago any chips larger than a dime should be primered, touch up painted then clear coated. I looked up the information for when I DIY plugs for my front license plate holes. The link below was the one that was suggested.
