Key Lock Problem
My car is a 2013 infiniti g37, last saturday I used my 2nd key fob (programmed by a 3rd company, I had no problems until this problem occurred) to drive and occasionally the dash icon with a red car with a key symbol inside of it would flash when I drove. Had no problems until I drove today when using either key fob would not turn on the car via push to start and the buttons on the door handle would not lock/unlock the car when the fob is near it. The only way to turn on the car was to stick the key fob inside the slot above the OBD port. The buttons on the fob work, I changed the battery on both fobs = still same issue. Wondering if anyone has experienced this problem and got any clue to solving it. Thanks!

No way. I’ve been having the exact same problem. I just got my keys programmed at Batteries Plus Bulbs and it worked great for a few weeks until recently it’s been not detecting the key. It happens maybe half the time I try to use it, seems like it takes the car a few seconds to wake up and sense the key. Anyone have a solution?

Have you tried contacting Batteries Plus Bulbs to see if they can maybe help you with that issue. My 2nd programmed fob was made 2 years ago, so I forgot the company that did it for me.

I believe the batteries should be good, I bough them new from walmart months ago. I just changed the the batteries for both again (tried on car= still same issue) then switched (still same issue). Should I contact a infinti dealer or maybe go to a 3rd party programmer?

If I had a dollar for every brand new pack of "name brand" CR2032 batteries (hell, coin batteries in general) that were "dead on arrival" I'd be a millionaire.
Not saying this is directly related to the main issue, but more often than not those fob batteries are to blame.
