I’m going to scoop some 3-way esotecs or maybe cheap out and get MFs (same ****) and like to know how bad the fitment is going to be. From what I’ve read the tweeter and mid should fit in the sail and upper door okay but the lower door is a little shallow for the woofer. Can anyone confirm? I’m likely getting the 8” woofer (I have a line on both esotecs and MF for a good price and both are 8s). I’m wrapping my car in leather (doors only thing left) and thinking maybe I can pretend the existing big door grill is just part of the door and wrap over it while basically cutting out the speaker hole directly into the grill and mounting like that.
