Audio & AC control panel

Hi guys,

I just have a quick question, all of a sudden my dash and centre console (audio and A/C control) panel lights doesn't turn on when the headlights are on ? It's like completely off, very very dim (as you can see on the photo). Yesterday it was okay, so I'm not sure what's wrong with it. Can anyone please help me ?
Any comments or suggestion are very much appreciated.

Thanks

try the fuses maybe? See if there is a fuse that takes care of the dashboard and replace it

You may have accidentally activated stealth mode. Are your gauges still turning on? If not just turn the brightness up on the gauge cluster. If you hold the button down that dims the cluster it will turn the cluster off completely, I don't remember if it turns the center console off or not though.

I didn't touch anything and my cluster is already set to its brightest setting.

Everything else works fine though. Head lights, tail lights, interior lights, sounds system, analog clock, electric seats, windows, etc. It's just the panel doesn't light up when the head lights are on.

Yes, I have checked every single fuse located inside in the interior (next to the gas pedal) and they were all good. What do you suggest I should check next ?

This happened to me as well on my 2009 G37x. Plus the tail lights were out too. The result of being rear-ended. Body shop did not initially pick up on this. I brought it back and they said a fuse was the problem with tail lights. They replaced the fuse and then center console lights were fixed too.

Odd design...so you're suggesting that the tail-lights and console lights are somehow piggy-backed to the same fuse?

Are there any circuit breakers in that circuit? I've had that issue before on another car and had to swap the breaker out. Found out that the circuit breaker was made in Mexico and was causing intermittent failure of several parts of the dash.

Okay, all good guys ! Turned out it was the panel itself. I bought a used AV control unit and replaced it, now it lights up as per normal.
