Car stopped Chirping, beeping, not sure what to call it

Hello All,

Recently my 2012 G37x stopped chirping when pushing the button on the door to open and close it. It used to beep once (digital beep, not horn) when you locked it and twice when you unlocked it. It stopped doing this and I cannot figure out why. I also noticed that before if i left my keys in the trunk it would open on its own so that I couldn't lock the keys in the trunk, now the trunks does not open. Anyone have any ideas on what it could be?

Thank you,

Yury

Try holding the lock/unlock button at the same time for about 2-4 seconds and the car should beep meaning the setting is reactivated.

I tried that. That turns on/off the horn when you use the remote, not the chirping sound when pressing the button on the door.

sounds like your remote battery might be dead. Have you charged it?

the remote seems to work fine. I tried both of the remotes and had the same issue.

The remote will still work if its dead/or low battery(lock and unlock the doors/start the car). Our key fobs come with a chargable battery and if you never stick it in the slot on the left hand side its gonna die and that should be why its not chirping when you lock it. but if it is charged idk what to tell you then.

did you mess with any of the fuses lately?

There is a large white block in the fuse panel on the drivers side.

Make sure they are all pushed in.
