New bluetooth question........

On infiniti's website, under the bluetooth section, there is a line under "basic features" that says "reconnects automatically".

My phone has a N (No) next to this. Does this mean, when i get into the car, its not going to auto recognize my phone?

If so..that sux. Who would want to pair up a phone everytime? I suppose I'm jumping to conclusions. My buddy with a sentra w/bluetooth and a low budget motorola phone just jumps in his car and it detects his phone right away.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Well, its a verizon HTC-5800. But as I first stated, the website has big NO next to "reconnects automatically". So the phone I have doesn't really matter. Just looking for what that term means.

So what is involved in reconnecting it? I mean, why even make the phone work with the bluetooth if every time i'd have to re-pair it.

Also, it says No for cars with nav but yes for cars WITHOUT nav. Doesn't seem to make sense.

Just sound frustrated b/c I don't understand why they make it work with their system, but not connect every time. Seems lame.

BTW: I'm probably jumping to conclusions. I'm sure I don't have to re-pair the phone everytime. But if its just as simple as going to a menu on the nav screen and reactivating it...I'm cool with that.

More likely you have to activate it on the phone. You can set most phones to auto-connect or not as you wish.

Do you have an Inifiti? If so just try it out, it might be a typo. If not try it out at a dealer. Seems pretty simple to me.

Yeah, the first step is to read the phone manual on bluetooth and the car manual on bluetooth.
