ya the trunk is definitely clean, but that headunit just doesnt flow with the rest of the interior, and i would get so frustrated having to reach around it to adjust things.

Looks like a sweet install ! and costly ! ? ! I would of done it differently though... if were going to take up all that space i would of went with something a bit more extreme and glass the trunk... None the less to each his own... looks like it bumps hard !

Yeah it's kind of annoying. In my opinion, though, the sound quality of this head unit makes it worth it. I listened for a long time to the stock deck and it left so much to be desired. I knew putting an aftermarket deck was going to be a lot of work but I also knew how good it would sound (I already owned the Eclipse). I'm very happy with it although I agree 100% that the 'flow' of the dash is way off with that deck in there. For me, though, having a truly high end sound experience is worth the sacrifice. There really isn't anything on the market today that would look truly factory in our cars. There are the double DIN models that look a little better, but where in the world would I put one of those? Esthetically speaking I'm not a fan of the flip up decks, but again, the sound is worth it for me. The trunk wasn't really expensive, in my opinion. My guy charged me about $500 to build the box, the floor, and carpet everything. I didn't want to do glass b/c it would have been twice as much and I'm not going to have the car for more than a few years.

Oh and with this deck you can have it auto open or manual. I have it set to manual, so that it only opens when I need it to (nav, sound adjustments, etc). This way the whole reaching around to adjust the air is only an issue when I'm using nav or the screen is open for some other reason. I know where I'm going 90% of the time so it's really not an issue for me...that being said I wish it was something that NEVER was an issue.

No rattling AT ALL. I'm truly amazed that is sounds like this without dynamat. It sounds so tight, so clean. I think it's a testament to the build quality of the car itself that there are so few rattles, although some of it has to do with the quality of the box design.

If you know much about this sub you know it's unbelievably powerful and it sounds really good as well. When I have a friend get in who has never heard it and I really turn it up there is one consistent reaction and it's "WOW!" I like this sub because it's a capable sub in terms of impressing with its power, but it's also very accurate when tuned right. It's one of the best subs around and I've never heard one I like more, although I'm sure there are tons of people on here who will tell me I'm wrong.

Does anybody on here have aftermarket components they'd like to talk about? I have the ZR 6.5 but I don't think they're all that special. They really lack mid-bass imo...any thoughts?
