255/35R20 or 245 for front wheels???

I have a 2013 G37 with stock suspension (no mods) and I've finally settled on a wheel that i'd like to purchase I want a square set up. The AXE EX 30 comes in a 20x10 and a 20x8.5. I'm not certain if the front can accommodate a wheel width of 10. The back would be no problem.

Can anyone confirm if the front could take a 20x10 wheel with a 255/35/20 tire?

Or should I just go with a 20x8.5 wheel with a 245/40R20 tire?? the offset for this wheel is +42mm

thanks!

Gotcha, I’ve seen a couple of people with 10s but I’m definitely not trying to doing further mods. I appreciate the response 👍🏽

If you have a S model you'll need to confirm brake clearance, that +42 is real conservative so be sure to confirm w/ vendor if you have an S coupe.

No just the Journey (non sport) coupe, I’d prefer to do a 20x10 but it seems risky

20x10 +42 could be done since outward poke won't be an issue and should have clearance on the inner bend at the steering knuckle, if you need a little spacing to clear at that point you could run spacers since you will have room at the fender to go out. But I'd only recommend doing this if you aren't opposed to running spacers if needed.
I run 18x9.5 +38 all around on my sedan w/ no issues and could go out a bit further, coupes have more room at the fenders so there's that

Here's a coupe running 20x10.5 +25 on 275s all around, so there is room to go out if you need to. This setup would be about 3/4" out for offset and another 6mm out for the 1/2" wider wheel for a total of an inch further out than what you'll have. And if you run a 255 rather than a 275 that's another 10mm room where the tire meets the fender.

Thanks for this. I just hope all the math works out with needing spacers

It just comes down to inner clearance, that's where the only issue may turn up w/ the 10 +42 wheel spec.
