TPMS and Aftermarket wheels/tires

Hey so I have 19" coupe wheels with the tpms. What do most do when they upgrade the wheels....Use the old tpms sensors from stock wheels or buy new ones? I plan on selling my stocks. I usually in the past have bought from vendors that offered tire/wheel packages that came with the option to have tpms come with them....However with the wheels im looking at seems I'm going to have to get the wheels and tires seperate.....Input please, thanks!

I'd just get new ones, keeping them on the stocks will help with the sale too.

Check pricing before giving them away. Theyre costly

I bought a new set for $100 shipped (I got lucky) and payed ETD Discount Tire Center to reset them for me for $29.95.

I had the tire shop transfer the OEM ones onto my summer wheels. I bought the retrofit kit from TireRack.com and they did the rest. I agree with the PNW_IPL; they are not cheap. The aftermarket TPMS sensors from TireRack were $60/apiece with my winter wheel/tire setup.

I got 4 exact replacement TPMS and a rebuild kit for each for $70 (total) on ebay for my new wheels. Only thing I haven't done yet is program them.

They have an average battery life of 7-10 yrs, so it may be best to start with a fresh set.
