help a complete car newbie with a snow tires/wheels question

Hi All,

So I'm looking to put snow tires on my 2012 G37 S manual coupe as it is useless in the wintertime when it even snows a coating to an inch.

I talked to a guy at an Infiniti dealership the other day and he said I can put 18 inch wheels on my 2012 G37 S Coupe with OEM 19' wheels on it. Is he right in saying this? I visited Tirerack.com and they don't even sell 18' wheels when I input my car as a 2012 G37 S Coupe...

Little confused here. Any help would be appreciated!

There just so happens to be a perfect set of 18s in the classifieds right now.
The reason Tirerack doesn't show compatible wheels is only a few 18s clear the big brakes on your S. These clear them though

Ah I understand. The guy at the dealership did say something about the large brakes.. How do I know which 18' wheel will fit though? is there a dimension I can match it with? If I go through the winter tire & wheel package on tireracks website it does actually have about 45 wheels that are 18' but i'm not sure if they will for sure.

It can be tough to navigate, here's some 18" Enkeis that will work

Might shoot a PM to Neal@Tirerack and ask him about which wheels he'd recommend. Also here's a template that you can send to the wheel vendor regarding clearance
