Stance SC5 Rubbing (CAN'T DRIVE)
Stance SC5 Rubbing (CAN'T DRIVE)
Hey guys,
Just bought some Stance SC5's from a member here and I'm now rubbing on every little bump (even worse while turning) on the rears. My shop maxed out my camber and I'm still rubbing.... any suggestions? Would stiff KW Coilovers do the trick?
I'm on:
20x10 +35 Fronts
20x10.5 +27 Rears
Hankook Evo's
255x35x20
275x30x20
Please help! My car cannot be driven at this time.

I had the same set up, you need to shave your bracket, have sways at stiff, -2.5-3.0 camber ,coilovers on stiff damping setting. Or switch tires to general 235/35 and 265/30.
Can't switch tires, I just bought them! (2 of them from YOU!)
I also have no sways. I'm thinking of getting KW's installed...actually, I think i HAVE to get the KW Coilovers installed...
Do you think the KW's alone will solve the issue?

to the op please dont take this as making fun of you but i dont think you did enough reserching before trying to run an agressive setup like this. im planning to run 10.5 all around and am still making sure i have everything i need to set it up right

You should probably sit lower so the wheels tuck in more so they don't rub against the fender.
You should also probably trim the fender bracket, that might be causing the problem. If you have KWV3's.... why are you waiting to install them?
I don't have the KW's yet, but the shop and a friend is recommending me to get them. I just want to make sure that they can solve my problem before I spend $2k.
Maybe on highest stiffness they would solve my rubbing issue?

If you can afford them get them, they receive great reviews. Any coilover would practically do the trick though.
yeah your biggest issue is your simply not low enough. and unless your dead set on getting kw3 id look at companies like stance and bc racing for coilovers.. im running ksports and they are great coilovers. look at some of the guys running 10.5 in front and most of the cars are pretty low. camber is your friend for this type of setup.
