Biggest spacers without extended lugs??

Hey guys, i tried searching but didnt have much luck..

I wanted to get 5mm spacers for the front wheels, but am not sure if its safe without extended lugs. Anyone have any experience?

Would i be much better off with going with like 3mm?
Or i shouldnt get any spacers without extended lugs?

Any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks!

What are you trying to do? 3mm spacers will make no noticeable difference in appearance, they might help clearance issues. If all you want are spacers, get the ones that bolt to the hub like the H&R DRM spacers do. Then you bolt the wheels to the spacers. This is better than using longer studs for spacers thicker than 10mm and you don't have to change out the studs.

Thx, but the 10mm is too much. My previous set of wheels was perfect and the new ones have offset that is 5mm less and i want to have the new wheels at the same offset as the old.

I might just go with the 3mm, they are $20 on ebay and are specific to the 5x114.3 pattern (not those crappy generic fit-all spacers) so the wheel still sits on the hub.

I'm running 5mm up front for clearance on my winter wheels. No extended studs. They had plenty of thread. I wouldn't run anymore than 5 though.

Get 'em if you need them.

biggest spacer u can run without extended studs. 8mm. 5mm is suggested and not recommended more, but 8mm will be okay and people have done it already

You'll want a minimum of 8 full turns of the lug nuts.

On my sedan, a 5mm spacer allows for 7.5 turns.
