If you install the proper tires so that the diameter stays within the required range, where's the problem? If you do that, then all you are changing is wheel and tire width. How would that affect anything?

Thanks for all the comment guys. I still haven't seen any pics with a nice staggered fitment on an X yet.

Yes you can absolutely run staggered wheels on an all wheel drive (X) sedan. I don't have pictures of my setup but I had staggered wheels before, with 8.5" wheels in the front and 10.5" wheels in the back. No rubbing, no camber kits necessary (with stock suspension), no spacers, etc.
