My Forgestar and ModBargains Experience

Update

I have been contacted by Jurrian@modbargains and he has made an effort to make things right between Modbargains and me. Ultimately ModBargains is not in the business of making customers unhappy and I appreciate that they are willing to step forward and work with their customers. I have deleted the original post and am happy to move on.

Jurrian, if you read this, thank you for contacting me and I will be looking forward to future purchases with ModBargains.

Sorry to read about your experience. Unfortunately seems to happen all too often in the aftermarket wheel world. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for sharing your experiences with both the vendor and manufacture. I'm in the market for a set of wheels and Forgestar's were a contender. Hopefully one of the two will step up and remedy the situation for you.

Sorry you had a bad experience with Forgestar. This sounds more like Modbargains fault than Forgestar. They were straight forward with you and told you they didn't even have the blanks available instead of telling you a short time frame like most other wheel companies. I had a great experience with Forgestar, but I ordered from UCLA Bruin on this site. He was constantly in contact with me throughout the wheel building process and mine arrive in flawless condition in 6 weeks. Sounds like Modbargains was making promises they knew the wheel company couldn't meet.

I agree, aside from the difficulty I had with contacting Forgestar and receiving a straightforward answer they were the best part of this purchase. Peter would typically respond to emails in a timely manner and even once I finally received the wheels he was helpful in double checking that my offset was correct.

Unfortunately Modbargains was a very different story.

sorry you had bad experiences with both sides, i'm surprised about all these bad experiences i'm hearing especially with forgestar, because i ordered 2 sets of wheels from them, and never had any issues..the only one was the amount of time i received my wheels, which was to be expected..

LOL modbargains is a joke man... at m3post.com, someone purchased an authentic ericsson amuse trunk from modbargains, and they sent the customer a replica trunk which cost maybe $400, when the customer paid $2500 for an authentic piece... when the customer recieved the product, and inspected it, there were chips everywhere and the product itself was black... when amuse sends out their products, it is ALWAYS in white gel coat, comes wrapped in bubble wrap and in an ericsson box with decals or a badge... and they told the customer that their supplier might have sent him a B stock amuse product, which amuse NEVER EVER stocks B, let alone sent him a B stock trunk with damages... haha clearly they sent him a replica trunk.... but heres a link where everyone can see....

Thank you to all of you who have expressed their concern and especially those that may have been in similar predicaments in the past.
