OP's car was at Forged for a year and still wasn't fixed. /QUOTE]

It says he was with out the car for about a year NOT it was at Forged for a year. It made several stops along the way that also contribute to down time it was at Forged then the OP took it back then it went back to Forged then the OP took it back and shipped it to GTM. With out having the time frame layed out how can we crusify Forged for causing all of the down time? Maybe the OP had the car for 3 months maybe GTM had it for 3 months no one says for sure so how can we judge??

I personally have no stake in this but its funny how everyone gets out the pitch forks and goes looking for a hanging with very limited details!! Maybe you guys know the OP or know the story better than I do but from what I am reading its not a good situation for anyone and if it was my car I would be irate but I would have been all over Forged to get it fixed at their expense ASAP. It seemed they were willing to do that maybe it was the time frame that didn't work for the OP and I agree that an issue like this should be priority not a fill in job.

As far as getting mad the OP was with out his car and the depreciation it caused....he put turbos on a car that was not designed to have turbos on it you should expect down time and be fully prepared that your car could pop an engine at any time when you increase the horse power to double what the car was designed to handle I am saying Forged is without fault hell no they phucked up and maybe didn't take care of it as quickly as they should have but time with out your car comes with going FI.

I havent had my car for close to 1.5 years now due to going FI and having issues its part of the game If you don't have the paitence the money and willingless to be without your car for long periods of time DON'T go FI stick to intakes and exhausts. Does this excuse Forged not even close but I see this time and time again when going FI on these platforms **** happens it can take time to fix.

Like I said I don't know the whole story just a few bullet points from the OP

ive seen a 500rwhp g35 built and twin turbo'd by forged in only 3 weeks. then it was immediately driven over 2000 miles in 1 weekend. the car has lasted almost 3 years now with just 1 sensor going bad. if thats the shoddy work that supposedly forged puts out then you can sign me up lol.

OP's car was at Forged for a year and still wasn't fixed. How much more patient could he have been? Forged was using this repair job as occassional fill-in work, and letting weeks turn into months at the expense of the OP. The depreciation cost alone was in the thousands. I understand why the OP took his car back, he was waiting for repairs that were never gonna happen. Maybe a lawyer would have been called for, but I'm not that litigious myself. Hope I never have to be.

yes, if the story is correct. He went to the shop, got the car w/o paying the 12k balance. Which more than enough to Hire a lawyer, go to court, sue them for damages and labor plus sue them for more. Prob would have enough to get the TT for free but it would be a legal battle. Bottom line, this could have been settle a different way than going in and getting the car without Sharif knowing. Getting the PD involved.

Sorry but if you got 700 hp to wheels and it only took a year and 20k, you need to quit your bitching about the hiccoups along the way. I have known many people to spend way more and wait way longer for less than that. Not to say what happened at forged is acceptable, but he should have expected it to take that long and cost that much.

Wow. What shops are you dealing with? Please tell us cuz there is NO way that it should take a year for this setup. The $20k, well yes, I know people that have spent that and much more. But for you to say that over a year is acceptable is ridiculous. Barring unforseen circumstances, which obviously is the case here, it should NEVER take a year to complete a job like this. I hope you were trying to be sarcastic and I just missed it.

Im sure FP or GTM can chime in, but im pretty sure both companies have put out successful turbo cars in 3-4 weeks on a regular basis which operate perfectly.

Also, did you see the pictures?

That's how long it would take until I was pissed if I paid $20,000.

You are more tolerant than me. Not sure I could make it that long unless real progress was being made on addressing the issues.
