It's now officially 8 weeks out from our 'Meet in the Heat'.
I have created a sign-up sheet in the first post of the thread for things to bring to the meet. Let me know and I will add you to the list of goody bringers.
Also, as Valviper has posted, there is a FB page for the event. I've included the National G Club as many are also members here. This will help facilitate a caravan from the DMV. Sorry, Mike, LOL, you're on your own. JK, it looks like you're handling the caravan from your neck of the woods. Should be a nice rumble....

I just got off the phone with the Park Ranger's office. Seems the aerial photos through Google Earth are misleading because of foliage, so that's my bad raising this concern. I was told the Pavilion Parking Lot has a capacity for at least 70 cars, and that if we have the Pavilion reserved, odds are we'll be the only ones parking there.
Not that other people can't, but it's out of the way for the beach, and wouldn't make much sense unless they were parking and hiking.

That alleviates a lot of concern on my part. Looks like we'll be able to spread out and have a nice time.
