Which Infiniti did you go to in SD? All of them suck .

Did you guys who brought it in have to bring the car in dead or you basically scheduled a service time and they replaced everything without hassle? How long did it take them to perform the TSB?

I'm planning to take mine to Riverside but I don't want to drive all the way up there and be told that my battery and charging system is fine, although I have been talking to Rick and he said I should have no problems getting it done.

I went to Sear and bought the $$$ Diehard, replaced my stock batt., call Consumer Affairs and tell them my battery is shot, then fax in my receipt. got refunded with 75% of cost (read your warranty booklet).

I don't have the dead batt. issue, just want more cranking amp., and to get rid of the weak stock batt. that sometime makes my lights flicker when i blip the throttle.

I replaced my bat with a redtop when it died, brought it in to do the TSB but they want the old battery back for some reason :S

Did anyone not pay the extra $ for the replacement battery?

Did your redtop help any when sitting for long periods or are you still having the same problem?

My car ended up being dead last night, so unfortunately I simply did what the dealership asked and was hassled for a 16 hour period or so. I had roadside pick it up this morning and bring it in completly dead so they could see it in that state.

They checked the battery and charging system yet again, found that it was in good working order. They then performed work mentioned in TSB ITB10-010B. The very TSB I was calling about earlier in the week. They replaced the vent valve and updated the BCM, (didn't replace the battery since it is an aftermarket unit). Hopefully this fixes the issue.

So when I went in to get this problem fixed under the TSB earlier in the year, they changed the VCV, put the bigger battery in and said that the BCM was backordered. So after waiting several months I called in a few weeks to see what the status of the BCM was. I was told that Infiniti is no longer replacing BCMs, and that the fix was only replacing the VCV and the battery!! The bigger battery has helped since the car doesnt die after sitting for 3 days now, but I haven't pushed it much beyond 3 days (when it did crank on the 3rd I could tell it was struggling a bit) so I really dont think the issue would be fixed. Is anyone else still getting BCMs replaced under the TSB?

Just took mine to Riverside Infiniti and they performed the TSB. Replaced the VCV, Battery and updated my ECU.

I've confirmed that the ECU is a complete overwrite and not just an update since my Uprev was completely gone. I had to have my car towed to my tuner.

Big ups to Jeremy and Rick at Riverside Infiniti. This will be the ONLY dealer I ever go to if ever need service because of how mod friendly they are.

I had this problem today. my mom used the car to work and around 6 when she was about to go home the car wouldn't start. i came to see what was wrong and the battery was drained, when i tried starting the car it struggled and didn't start. i jumped the battery and it struggled also so i let it charge again and it worked just fine. should i bring it in to Infiniti or wait for it to happen again? the car is only 4months old with 3600 miles.

Had hoped that this TSB would have fixed the issued. Problem has returned!!

Only driving the car every couple of days, and sometimes when I come out its just dead. Jumped it drove it 10 or so miles and when it was time to leave, it was dead yet again.

Good info guys. Well I haven't have no battery problems since purchased new with 4 miles till recently. Lately car hesitates to turn on in the mornings. I don't drive it everyday either so I want to know if this applies to me if I call the dealer? My G is an 08 with 20k on it

Ps. I'm not waiting for car to completely died since I cannot/refuse to tow it "car is slammed"

I had this problem since I bought it new in '07. I had the TSB performed and a new battery (the larger one from the M) installed and it fixed it right up. I've let it sit for up to 17 days and it started right up perfectly like it's supposed to. Before the repair it wouldn't start if left idle for only 3 or 4 days.

If you haven't had the TSB performed, do it. If you have and are still having the issue, take it back in. Just putting a new or larger battery in it will NOT permanently fix your problem, it'll just hide it for a little while.
