Ds Mode Ecu Tsb 5at
Are you able to personally duplicate the problem? If so I would go on a test ride with them. If not I woul dleave it alone and spare your ECM LOL...

Me Too...
I have the same exact problem, and my 5AT is brand new. The dealer, who is a good one, cannot recreate it either, because neither can I. It only happens once in a blue moon, except that once it happened when I was making a left turn. I had shifted into DS and then quickly down to 1st to get some grip, except all I got was a 2-second no response. I was left there helplessly while oncoming traffic was coming. Then after 2-seconds of nothing, it rocketed me forward. Luckily I had plenty of room, otherwise I would have been t-boned. I have also had it happen one time when kicking over and downshifting from 3rd to 2nd. It has only happened to me when I do quick shift to manual, I have not had it happen in DS mode yet. They have gotta find the problem and recall this before it causes a serious accident.
And I know it is not shift lag, I just upgraded from my '03 G35 which actually had an awesome shift response time. Plus no shift lag takes 2 full seconds. Could this be why they are changing the transmission to the new 6AT/7MT so quickly?

The link posted earlier to another thread no longer has the PDF attachment for this TSB. Does anyone have a PDF of this they can get me? I have had this happen and it is scary. I want to get this fixed for good at the same time I have to do the recall for the airbags. I called the dealer to book a date and they act like they have never heard of this issue! Rude mechanics at Infiniti of Hoffman Estates!! Good god it is a FIRMWARE flash, not very hard to get done!

I have this EXACT same problem... dealer has duplicated it: it is apparentl when you downshift and accellerate almost simultaneously. This should NOT happen and I have almost been in 8-10 accidents over it. The dealer claims it is "normal" based upon an intermittant result from other G37's on their lot, another dealer claims it's my intake, another my exhaust, and the four dealer claims it's my driving habits that "taught" the computer to behave this way. I have another post on this in the engine/drivetrain thread... it's ridiculous and the ECU and transmission problem is terrible and Infiniti should be ashamed of themsleves for their inability or, worse yet, their lack of intent to fix this problem. BTW: Mine happens in DS-Manual mode, DS mode OR in D mode - so it's not a matter of one mode over the other, it just happens more frequently in DS-Manual.
