f/s section

Thought it might be a good idea, how bout deleting all the sold Items outta the Classified section, seem like there is too much stuff in there that has been sold vs stuff that is available? Just a thought.

The threads can be locked at the request of the seller. They aren't deleted on purpose, they remain in case of any sort if misunderstanding or problem, there's a record of it that the seller can't simply erase.

yeah I hear what everyone is saying, maybe the programers can mark the postings sold like in red or something, or a sold icon or something.

Seller courtesy dictates clearly posting a final post indicating the item(s) as sold and also editing the first post to indicate that as well. Report the post to mods and indicate that you'd like it closed because the item is sold. Then it will be locked and it's icon in the subforum will have the red closed icon.
