Bought a 2012 g37x from orlando infiniti, need opinions please

Good evening, not sure if im posting this in the right section of the forum.

We recently bought a 2012 g37x from the orlando infiniti. The salesman said that everything was stock except for a remote start. He also said that the car was never in an accident.

Once I had the car home and had more time to look at it, I noticed that the front and rear bumpers was repainted and I called him about it, long story short, once i got the sales manager to look at the issue, they offered a replacement which for some reason the bumpers were also repainted without the salesman telling me this. Unfortunately, if we take on the replacement, we could have lost 3 months worth of payments.

Is repainting the bumpers a standard procedure that infiniti dealers have been doing? The other replacement had a crappy finish, worse than what we originally purchased with over sprays all over the car.

Thanks for any input on the situation.

Isaac

Bumpers get repainted all the time without anything ever being reported, whether by the dealer or the previous owner. It's such a minor thing that a lot of people get it done on the side. Unfortunately you don't have a ton of options now that you've got the car. Did you get it checked over before you bought it?

Yep. I remember 13 years ago, I picked up a brand new Maxima with only 12 miles on it, and a repainted front bumper. It arrived that way from the originating dealership, who must have done the repair.

Bumper mishaps happen on dealer lots all the time, and in dealer shipment, too. It just does. If the quality of the paint job isn't to your liking, I recommend the OP see if the dealership is willing to repaint. But there's no reason to assume there's anything other than some surface damage.
